Sure put it on GOG, but I'd rather not see it anywhere. F.E.A.R. is one of the dullest and greyest FPS's I have ever played, it's almost as boring as Kevin Costner narrating a high school math book.
I'd love FEAR on GOG, realizing that the third one and the first are not that similar, I still really enjoyed the third (may be best FPS on 360) and would love to get the chance to play the first one. Not sure it'll ever come here, but I voted for this a long time ago and do hope it comes sooner or later.

That, certainly, cannot be matched in dullness. And let him come up with the example problems as well and we've got a gem on our hands.

For what it's worth, this game probably deserves a release on GOG even if only because it had a fairly big effect on the industry and it was pretty popular.

I'm not sure whether or not I'd care. On the one hand, I'd appreciate having it here for the simple fact that it would be a relatively high profile release and would also mean another publisher coming on board.

On the other hand, the brief experience I had with F.E.A.R. many years ago was.....not good. The thing that I remember most about it was the balance problems caused by the mishandling of the bullet time mechanic. Normally, the encounters were surprisingly hard; at least I remember them to be quite difficult. The bullet time mechanic helped alleviate this and there's nothing wrong with that....except the ability regenerated extremely quickly (and was perhaps a bit too effective), making it possible to use it in almost every single encounter. This effectively undermined whatever challenge the game wanted to pose, since the game practically turned you into a time lord.

A particular instance I remember was a level where some sort of ninjas would appear out of nowhere. Normally, it was extremely difficult to deal with them and not die. But the plentiful amount of bullet time essentially turned them into free kills, since the instant you saw them, you could just slow down time and riddle them with bullets.

Its actually a pretty good FPS. Where i will agree with you is the greyest part --- the colour scheme and corridors etc...very very bland.....
Yeah! Bring it! It's one of my favourite shooters.
I not only want to see it, but want to buy it.
I'd love to play this again since I never finished it, and my pc wasn't fast enough to play it properly : to get it smooth I had to effectively switch of the shadows which ruined the atmosphere.
I remember that this game had great AI and at some point...you fight ninjas!
The first one, yes. The unofficial expansions, maybe. The sequels, not so much. I would welcome them for other people to buy, but wouldn't really recommend doing so.
ive beat each one they are good games. Will say fear 3 i did not like as much. It was not creepy at all. But they would be great here as a bundle or something. I hope for a fear 4 one day that will go back to the scaryness of fear 1
I would love to see the original FEAR, here. But the unofficial expansions are considered as something that never happened. I think that everybody agrees with the fact that from Monolith we wish the most the NOLF games on GOG. Unfortunately, no one seems to know who has the rights for those.

Back to FEAR, i could still stomach the second part, but the third was ... boring, i could say.
Voted a long time ago :)
I already voted for all three of them on the wishlist after I got them from a Humble Bundle. I thoughtI would given them a go after my brother said they were a must play game and I enjoyed the first one. Still yet to play the other two.
Sure they are not the best ever game made, but it is fun to play and with a game that is all that really counts.
I played 1st years ago and while I wouldn't play it again, I always wanted to buy it to redeem that I didn't, well, use my own version. I had waited for it to appear on GOG ready to pay what pricetag it would have until whole bundle appeared on Steam or Humble for a ridiculous price like $2.50 or something, I said "screw you, publishers" and purchased it.

I don't mind seeing it here DRM-free but I won't purchase it again. Their loss.
I wanna see Condemned: Criminal Origins here as well.
