pimpmonkey2382: Name a game where there aren't a couple ridiculous puzzles?

OldFatGuy: I dunno, I thought both Phantasmagoria games were pretty fair, at least to me, I didn't see where they were just off the board trivial. And they're from the same era.

But yeah, back in that time Myst IMO had a couple over the top, and most did. But for whatever reason I got more frustrated with those two than most others.

Although moving later in time I will say that Syberia got on my nerves quite a bit.

Oh, and I don't know if Gremlins (I think that's what it was called) is in the same genre, but I thought that's another one where none of them were over the top hard or "out there." Same thing with another classic point and click added here recently that the name escapes me but I played through that whole thing without much trouble. I'll be back in a minute with the name.

But maybe my examples aren't fair because they're not exactly the same genre???
What about the very last puzzle of phantasmagoria 2? And I love that game very much.

LOL, I actually had more trouble with the first one's ending. That damned swinging blade must've killed me at least 25 times.

And the other game I was thinking of was Torrin's Passage (not sure of spelling) but that was a nice little game where none of the puzzles were over the top.

I dunno, 7th guest struck me as being targeted at people with almost a more classical education with some of it's puzzles, which my dumb country ass didn't have LOL. But I can't explain why it made me feel that way, some of the references I guess.

I'll have to give it another go now that I'm "older and wiser" (yeah, I'm older alright, but getting dumber by the day, not wiser).

Oh, and the other game I was referring to was Gobliins, not Gremlins. The first one of that series hit almost the exact spot on difficulty for me. The others varied but did have a couple that made one want to grab a brick and throw at the screen.

Ahahahah yeah, with phantasmagoria 2, I almost replied to you "How about the whole last area?" really wish they would have left the sci fi stuff out and had the plot at the end more reality based, like some sort of psycho killer, or possibly the killer being tied to that corporation in some way, etc. Still love the game very much though. Yeah that damn blade in phantasmagoria 1 was frustrating
