I know some of you have, but I was wondering, who else here has downloaded all their games on GoG and either backed them up to an external drive or to DVDs?

I'm curious because the recent trouble with GoG's database have made me pretty paranoid that some of my games may go away and never return (not likely, but still). Who else has backed them up and how are you storing them?

I've got a couple dozen I haven't backed up yet, but in general I download and backup everything from every store on multiple drives and computers. It's a habit from back in the day when digital stores only gave you a 30-day window to download your purchase.
I think I have all of them backed up on my external HD, but I might just delete them, as GOG does provide a storage service for them. I'll just download a few games at a time as I plan to play them.
Why am I having deja vu about you asking the same question? Nevermind.

As for your answer, yes, I backup every single GOG game that I have, but not completely (I only download English Windows installers and don' t bother with FLAC soundtracks). I use an external hard disk to do so.

yo

i got 9 blu rays with nothing but my gog games library
I have everything on an external drive, I currently consider GOG to be my backup. I should really put some money aside for a second external.
I have an HD full of games from numerous game sites. Works for me when the net goes down.
I always download the games to my computer right after buying them. So yes, i have them backed up.
Ok for those who burn discs, what do you do when a game updates significantly? Put it on a new disc and scratch out the name on the old disc or what?

so far i ignore the updates because blu rays are still expensive

i also have an insane amount of hd space ( 9 tb ) so i keep all games on an hd anyway
I keep an up to date copy of my games on my harddrive and include it in my regular backup.
Since the shutdown prank I've been downloading my games. I am sure I don't have all of them downloaded but about 90% of them... I put them on an external drive and I have CrashPlan watching that drive so it backs up online.

I don't worry too much about updates...
Still working on it. I've only backed a handful of games. I need a couple Terabyte drives. There is just always so much to do =(
Installer & extras come to 389 GB, 237 games. I've got them backed up on a 1tb external hdd & some drm free ones from my Steam & humble bundle account too.
I have about 80% of my games downloaded and store it on an external HDD...
