I want a good RPG to play on my phone's dosbox app. It obviously needs to be a dos title, but I have a few other needs too. Turn-based combat would be better, and a mouse shouldn't be required. I'm looking at Stonekeep (which is on sale) Ultima Underworld, and Betrayal at Krondor. I've been watching some gameplay vids but can't get a real feel of which will be easiest to control on my phone. I'm open to other suggestions too. Thanks!

Oh and preferably no midi since it's not supported by my phone's version of DOSBOX

If your phone can run DOSBox then why don't you give Exult a try and run Ultima 7 on it? I did that with an HTC Touch with Windows Mobile way back when...

I don't think Exult runs in DosBox, I think it requires windows. I could be wrong about that, and it looks like there is an Android version of Exult being developed. The main problem I have is that I don't own Ultima 7 which is required.

I think there may have been a slight miscommunication on my part. I know that Exult requires Windows. I figured since it can run DOSBox, it might be able to run Exult, which I fully understand to be a stand-alone program.
What phone are we talking about here? Is it Android?

By the way, you mentioned Stonekeep, so chances are you might be interested in Undercroft. There used to be a paid Windows Mobile version for it. But now it has been replaced by a free iPhone version. Unfortunately I am not aware of any Android version.

RedShift is a company famous with its Quest series, which are also examples of old-school RPGs for phones. Again, sadly I am not aware of any Android versions.

Avadon recently is available for iPad. You can check an Avadon thread somewhere here on GOG forum (just search for it). I do not really like it, for me it is just so-so, but who knows maybe you find it to your liking.

All of the above are not DOS games.

Ya it's an Android phon. There are lots of Android games, but since I've purchased AnDOSbox on it. I'm looking for good turn-based DOS games to load up. I went ahead and bought Betrayal at Krondor and got it running on there, but still tweaking the controls. I've been able to get Descent, One Must Fall 2097, and Rise of the Triad running on there too but real time games like those are a bit laggy and harder to control. So are games that require a mouse. (I'm looking into external bluetooth controls to solve this issue). I own Battle Chess which should probably be pretty easy to get running on there, oh and Master of Orion runs real well! Wing Commander Privateer always black screens on me :( but I am able to get Elite running smooth.
With DosBOX running your choices are wide open...
Ishar series, Eye of the Beholder series, GoldBox series (if you have access to either).
Might and Magic series... any of these should be undemanding enough to run well... at least the earlier ones.
I've heard good things about Realms of Arkania.

I see.

With Stonekeep and Ultima Underworld as reference points, then I'd suggest: Lands of Lore, Eye of the Beholder series, Menzoberranzan, Ravenloft series, Anvil of Dawn. None of them is turn-based, though.

Dark Sun series are turn-based, but not in first-person perspective.
