summitus: Steam have midweek deals and weekend deals, so if GOG want grab a bigger slice of the pie they need to compete with Steam even if only a little.
And dont forget the there are more old games appearing on Steam all the time .
Catshade: 1. See? Everyone's spoiled by the Steam sales. :( *just got X-COM and Freedom Force myself*
2. True, I'd like to see more DD stores chasing rights to old games; that'll only make GOG strive to be better and more competitive.
3. Everyone here is a little bit sensitive with the accusation that '
no weekend deal = GOG is slacking as a business,' as usually we already got awesome stuffs a few days before ;)
I like Steam and have been using it for along time, but since finding GOG , it has got me really into playing all the old classics again, I have owned nearly all the games on the GOG list at some time or other.
Despite that and Steam being very good , I would still rather spend my money on a cool site like GOG and I have always supported the smaller companies , even when I mostly got my games from retail shops I would seek out the best indie stores .
