I am a bit suprised though that so many people actually use DVDs as their backup solution. I bought a Seagate 1 terabyte USB hard drive a couple months ago for $60 and I think it's awesome. I
I have a bit of a backup routine... I'll create a folder on my desktop with the name of the game I wish to backup, then download EVERYTHING (extras, Mac & Linux versions, language packs) for that game to said folder. I then place that folder on my USB hard drive, on which there is a folder with the name "PC Gaming" which has sub-folders named after various online digital retailers. So for intance, when I buy Bioforge from here in the next couple of days it's going to go here:
F:\My Stuff\PC Gaming\GOG.com\
And when I bought the Humble Indie Bundle 6 the game's folders went here:
F:\My Stuff\PC Gaming\HumbleBundle.com\
And when I bought Titan Quest Gold the game's folder went here:
F:\My Stuff\PC Gaming\GamersGate.com\
And yes I keep the duplicate games on there too. I have a "SpaceChem" folder under both "F:\My Stuff\PC Gaming\IndieGameStand.com\" and F:\My Stuff\PC Gaming\GOG.com\" for instance.
Sure, it might be a bit convoluted but it helps me feel organized.
