Well John Hughes is a legendary director and writer. What's your favourite movie written/directed by him?

Here's the names of some of his most famous movies for anyone unsure of who he is. I'm sure you will have seen some

Home Alone 1, 2 & 3
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Pretty In Pink
Weird Science
Sixteen Candles
Some Kind of Wonderful
Planes, Trains and Automobile's
101 Dalmations (live action version)
Flubber
Beethoven
Miracle on 34th Street
For me personally it's probably a tossup between Ferris Bueller and The Breakfast Club.
He's made a ton of great movies, but those are at least nostalgically the most 'special' to me.
Either Weird Science or Ferris Bueller for me, or maybe even some of the National Lampoon's movies. I have fond memories of watching them while growing up.

They're remaking Weird Science. >:|

The Breakfast Club no doubt. Bueller and PTA are close runners-up.

I think Some Kind of Wonderful is a bit underrated, even if it is a gender-reversed remake of Pretty in Pink.
"Planes Trains and Automobiles" if for no other reason than the fact that the "fucking" scene took place is my home town of St. Louis.
Planes, Trains and Automobiles for me. John Candy and Steve Martin is a great mix.

Uncle Buck as well, I loves me some John Candy!

My friend used to quote that scene all the time. One of the best of the 80s comedies. :P
Home Alone 1+2 are the only ones I've seen in entirety.
