"Everyone has a Favorite game" -Elmofongo

Of all your favorite games (board, video, field, court, etc), which is your #1?
What do you like and dislike about it? Bonus points if your post is typed in an interesting way (poem, short story, etc).

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY.
Never have I gotten bored while playing the vanilla version of this game. It is incredibly immersive and packed like a neighborhood ditch with lore. I was captured into its world like Max into Fantasia and would sacrifice long hours of my after-school life experiencing it like a teenage porn addict finally left alone. It's so great, I bought it thrice and pirated it twice.
It sucks that the crack for the French PC version is only available at one website, though. I should probably back that up someday before the site goes down... like Demonoid.

Not Sacrifice.
Nethack

Like: A open source roguelike with endless hours of exploring fun and goodness

Dislike: Hasn't been updated in 10 years

Edit: Short Story: Had a super powerful Wizard(2 days/20 hours in the making of) which after I had got a wand of wishing + all resistances die's after choking on a fortune cookie. Next day later I play again.. Good times, Good times.

The Baldur's Gate Trilogy. I will never forget playing that as a kid. I kept thinking to myself " I can do ANYTHING!!!"
Probably the GBA port of Yoshi's Island.
Party based RPG: BGII. Like ES-NL 1-5 tonite. Once achieved, sadly never repeated in all likelihood.

Single player open world RPG: Morrowind, too. One can always go back to it, and experience it quite different. What a game!

Action ("diablo clone") RPG: Divine Divinity.

"Just because": Supaplex / Boulder Dash / Scorch.

I think genre of a game must be accomodated, to an extent. But in case no such allowance is there: BGII.

Edit=PS: "ES-NL" refers to ongoing football worldcup, as a lot of regions are less afflicted than Europe with this kind of thing.

Very hard question, lots of candidates, but have to go with:

Quest for glory 4 shadows of darkness
Flogging the dolphin.
My avatar may be able to help with this question.

Wow I had a lot of fun with this one too! This is where you make up fake definitions for odd words and try to guess the real one, while tricking people into thinking your one is correct yes?
