Personally I just took a break from buying games, since I don't play them. I'm intrigued enough by the Winter Wolves bundle so I'd probably buy that, but I haven't picked up on any of the latest Indie Gala, Humble or others that I used to. Both this and the previous bundle don't have anything I really want anyway, and that was true for most bundles, which is why I think stopping buying them was a good decision. I already have Rochard, I didn't like Torchlight when I played the demo, and the rest aren't that appealing. Same was with 5, where I already owned Psychonauts, and didn't feel it was worth buying the over the average for Bastion.

SirPrimalform: They shouldn't be setting the average price... the average should be determined by the first purchaser.
The people over at Cheap Ass Gamer check these fairly early to see how the prices go. When this one launched the beat the average was $8.99, then quickly fell from there. If HiB 5 had a set launch price, or some early purchasers to set it, then it made sense that it stayed high as people wanted Bastion.

I also find it interesting there aren't as many high price buyers this time.

You are right, they don't set the average price. Last time, Notch and the bronies made their initial contributions to the bundle very early and then kept raising the amount trying to beat each other. Because of them the average was high since the beginning and people that wanted the BTA game (Bastion) kept the average high. This time, neither of them has contributed to the bundle so the average is lower.

That'll be it!

mondo84: It's a combination of:

- games are good but nowhere near as good as HIB V
- by this point many people own most of the games in bundles and see no reason to buy bundles for just one or two more games
- bundle fatigue
I'd have to strongly disagree with HIB5 being better. Sure, Bastion and Psychonauts are two of the best games to be offered in a bundle, but let's face it: They pulled HIB5's entire weight. HIB6 is full of gems.

You are forgetting Amnesia. If anything, I'd say Sword & Sworcery was the worse game on that bundle.

I loved every single game of HIB5, aside from the two games I didn't actually own at the time I bought it - SS&S EP and Lone Survivor.

Well, I didn't love Amnesia, but only because I haven't gotten around to playing it yet.

Also, Lone Survivor and Super Meat Boy are both very good. And, even though everyone probably already had it, Braid is good as well.

Amnesia, Bastion, Psychonauts, Limbo, and Superbrothers: Sowrd and Sworcery EP are easily a much, much better group than the games in HIB6.

HIB V is widely regarded as the best bundle ever put together.

Eh its all opinion though - if I didn't own the games I'd rate 6 far far higher than 5 ever could get to (since Bastion was the only good game in 5 ;))

Let's face it. You're completely wrong, Cracky

Amnesia and Limbo say hi.
