They kind of spoiled it a bit by reducing the contenders to 2 before the announcement. It would be very difficult to get 25 GOGs out of Lucasarts.

Point taken though, especially since several of these are available on other DD services, and it is questionable in some cases whether they are good or old.

Maniac Mansion is pushing it. If the Steam version is anything to go by, Jedi Knight would not be an easy game to get working either. As for KotOR 2, Lucasarts seem inclined to forget that one ever existed - and having played it I can relate.

This is huge news! I think the first batch of titles is great. Plus there are more to come. This is going to be interesting, to say the least!

You are entitled to your opinion of course. Me, I found KOTOR 2 a lot more interesting than the first one, despite the rushed ending.

My first reaction was that the backlogged games are going to get backlogged further. For certain, Privateer is going to leap to the top of the playlist. Ditto Crusader when it comes around.

My second reaction was / is... no introductory pricing? Bummer, but it's not like $5.99 is a whole lot o' money, and it sure won't stop me from picking up these great titles.

My third reaction is: if GOG keeps this crap up, I'll never again buy a new game. Maybe not the reaction the publishers and devs wanted, but I quit buying new stuff a long time ago so six bucks has to be better than no bucks.

KotOR2 was awesome, rushed or no. Kreia alone made that game worth playing.

Hey, you better watch what you say about KOTOR 2. I love that game. Like most Obsidian titles, I get this nagging feeling that I should not like it as much as I do, but the characters, story etc for me made up for a buggy and HORRIBLY unbalanced game.

Think that one of the classics they might include will be the PC port of Future Cop L.A.P.D.? Game was addictive on the PS1, used to play it for hours when I was a kid.

I have to agree with the KotOR2 boosters here in saying that it was a great game. Not as complete as the first one, due to LucasArts forcing the release, but it still had plenty to like.
