Josie and the Pussy Cats.
Hmm... I remember watching many of them just because they were cartoons, but for me, the ones that really stuck out were the weird ones they'd throw in sometimes on Woody Woodpecker - like the old couple Ma and Pa.

In one, Pa was carrying some boards, and the ends were bouncing. The more he walked, the more they bounced, until he took off into the air like a bird. Ma said, "What you doing up there, Pa, flying south for the winter?" To me that was way better than flashy fighting or the repetitiveness of many other cartoons. And I never did understand putting laugh tracks on cartoons.

SovietSharkey: 90s Spiderman, Batman Beyond and Dragon Ball Z where the main ones
Your username just reminded me of another favorite, Eek the Cat. :)
Oh a lot actually, but if I had to chose my fav its the combined works of Genndy Tartakovsky and Craig McCracken:

Dexter's Laboratory
Powerpuff Girls
Samurai Jack (my absolute fav)
Star Wars Clone Wars 2003 (He made the prequals awesome just with this)
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
I recall it was He-Man Master of the Universe.. With Otto and le Maitre d'Armes, and Skelettor.. French names, sorry lol.
Pingu (albeit I wasn't really a kid anymore when they were airing them on the TV), and old Disneys.

tinyE: I wasn't aware that there was an unoriginal Ren & Stimpy.
There were two very different shows.

The "original" was the Spümcø production ('91 and '92), which ended with Kricfalusi getting fired. The other, and lesser, was the Nickelodeon in-house (Games Animation) production ('93 on), with Bob Camp directing.

Maybe the "unoriginal" shows would be the knockoffs like "2 Stupid Dogs" and "Shnookums and Meat" (which were actually pretty good on their own, just suffered from being too-obvious clones).

Anyway, my old favorite: Rocky and Bullwinkle.

When I was *really* a kid, like 4-5 years old, I absolutely loved Laff-a-lympics, thus my avatar. My username is a shortened version of one of the team names, Yogi Yahooeys. Oh, and Spider-man and His Amazing Friends was another huge fave when I was young...

When I was an older "kid", I fell in love with Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs. Good times, good times...

Fever_Discordia: Tru Dat - Rocko's Modern Life was pretty good too!

Aeon Flux, The Max and Daria (and, I guess, Bevis and Buthead) from MTV too!
Yeah, The Maxx was great; I'm sure I still have the VHS somewhere. I could watch the first half every day. The second half on the other hand... I dunno. The change in tone is too jarring most times. I can still watch it sometimes but I usually don't know how to feel about it. Hell, I even read the comics, hoping for a bit more closure... a bit more something. While there is more story told there, it leaves even more doubt and/or emptiness than before. Still, an excellent show. :D
Saint Seiya

Why?

- Armored knights themed from celestial names. Also awesome armour designs especially gold knights.

- People beating the crap out of each others.

- You think Dragon Ball stretch their episodes? this series stretch like a big lump of taffy :p
Batman: The Animated Series
X-Men
Gargoyles
Spider-Man
Ren & Stimpy
Bobby's World
Darkwing Duck
DuckTales
Moomin (Hungarian Dub) The often melancholic, sometimes strange and mysterious atmosphere of the show really captivated my imagination when I was about 5-6, and I think it was the first show on TV that had some sort of impact on me. I also really liked the animated Garfield shows, I remember I was learning how to use a tape recorder around the time those were aired in my country, and I used to record them on VHS.

In my pre-teen and early teenage years, I was also into CN and Nickelodeon stuff like Hey Arnold!, Ed, Edd'n' Eddy, and - although technically not cartoons - Clarissa Explains it All and The Adventures of Pete and Pete.
