Looks like Republique made it and with an extra 50k to boot.

It makes me think that the backers are almost more important than the actual money, there seems to be nothing a dedicated core group of backers can't accomplish on kickstarter.

Starlight Inception and Republique have definitely been interesting to watch.

spindown: In the end, this is still just a mobile game with about five hours of gameplay. I'm not sure how they managed to get people so excited about it.
Isn't that really how the world (and the people in it) works though? I mean I'm not sure how people can get excited over a bunch of guys kicking a ball around a field....but there you go.

EDIT: It looks like Starbound might have some competition in the form of "Edge of Space":

It seems quite a bit like Terraria in space, except grittier.

There's a Nintendo-approved Kickstarter about diamond trading:

I am really hope that Mare Crisium would someday do a kickstarter to revive "Stars! Supernova", as that looked to be a pretty good 4X game in the making.
People who like Shoot 'em Ups and Sega Dreamcast will probably want to know about this:

Added:

Conquest 2
The Historical Williamsburg Living Narrative
Pathfinder Online Tech Demo
Portal
Edge of Space
Diamond Trust
Redux: Dark Matters (didn't want to add this, but what the hey. It's a noble cause to try to revive the Dreamcast)

This game looks promising, and it looks like a classic to me :)!

Looks quite interesting, I never really check 8 bit-funding though. Maybe Kickstarter is too mainstream for them? :p

Looks cool. But. Tiers are confusing. Lists Steam but nothing about Steam codes on the Tiers or how to get them. Seems more aimed at the limited hard copy edition $65.
"JULY 2012 - iOS/iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

DECEMBER 2012 - Sega Dreamcast

TBA 2012 - STEAM, XBLA, & PSN"
Yuck. Going to be in iPoo platform before the hard edition is released. Says a lot i think.
Steam TBA so chance it wont happen LOL...
Ah if only i had a dreamcast
I think Malevolence - The Infinite RPG desverves some attention:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/malevolence/malevolence-the-infinite-rpg

Hopefully they could get $50k or something...
Jane Jensen backed two projects: Larry and Omegatech. Not the game for me, and I don't have an iPhone/iPad, but hey, who am I to argue with Jane Jensen?

Just saw this one too.

I keep thinking eventually there won't be any more game projects (at least for a considerable amount of time) that look of good quality and I keep being proved wrong.

This looks, pardon the expression, fucking good.

-edit- Re-reading the KS page again, I do hope there's a good sense of progression though. I don't mind a non-party TB FPP RPG in a randomized setting, but I'm concerned this may just end up being a game where you spend hours grinding for better equipment with little variety in gameplay.

Zombie-Based Learning: Geography taught in Zombie Apocalypse - I love this concept. School needs more zombies. Well, no, actually there are enough zombies in schools. Textbooks need more zombies is perhaps a better way to put it.

As for Malevolence, I like it so thanks for posting about it, but $20 for the game is beyond what I can pledge now, considering all the other projects I'm backing.

Ave !
It's been a while... have you noticed that Legends of Eisenwald reached his funding goal Saturday ?

There's some interesting stretch goals for the last 7 days.
Hiro Fodder: A Blue Hope

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/561303485/hiro-fodder-a-blue-hope-a-late-16-bit-era-inspired?ref=category

I quite like the idea behind this one. The playable characters look pretty cool too. The picture for this kickstarter stood out straight away.

Edit: This looks like it could be promising too. Apparently this guy has already made 10 smaller point and click games in the same series (all free) so this is his first big project.

Reincarnation: The Root of All Evil
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1878730846/reincarnation-the-root-of-all-evil/?ref=kicktraq

Oh and...

Paper Knight:'s Story
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ujonu/paper-knights-story/

Seems very inspired by Paper Mario, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Why can't I hold all these kickstarter projects??
