From Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective's latest update:
Folks,

Shadow Friday is October 26th! I am really excited to announce that this Friday we are launching a Shadowgate Kickstarter campaign! We have been working on this for many weeks and can't wait to launch it. We will go live at 9am EST this Friday and we hope you will get behind us and support our campaign. We know you will be blown away by what we show of the new game as well as the ridiculously cool rewards we have designed exclusively for Shadowgate and fantasy fans.

As you may know, we have been in pre-production for a few months now and have made great strides on the game design, artwork and audio but WE NEED YOUR HELP to complete our vision for a re-imagined Shadowgate.

We wanted to tell you about it first so you to take advantage of the early bird specials we've included in the campaign. We wanted you to be the first to know so you can get the jump on the rest of the world and grab up those special deals. We are offering three limited pledging tiers which include a digital game tier, a physical box/cloth map/poster tier and a Shadowgate card game tier - a card game designed by the creator of the Middle Earth Collectible Card game.

We are very thankful for your support over this last year and hope you join us this Friday! For your convenience we'll send out an email with the URL on Friday morning or you can simply type 'Shadowgate' in the search engine on the Kickstarter site after it goes live at 9am EST.

Again, thanks for believing in Zojoi and the games we want to create!

The thought of a modern Shadowgate excites me. The original was one of my favourite old games.
Get your torch ready? More like "get your bleeding wallet ready", was not expecting this. Gonna hurt, but what the hell, I skipped on Obsidian so have no excuse. I really hope this gets more attention/publicity than Sherlock.

Btw, there's some room artwork on the Zojoi site.
I'd more excited to back that card game designed by the creator of the Middle Earth Collectible Card game. (and that has nothing to do with Shadowgate, it's just MECCG is the most important game in my life, it's the game that made me).

Sorry for dropping this here, but I'm currently answering a survey for Carmageddon kickstarter and I need to know my Steam id. Where can I find that? Is it the account name?

Contact the Carmageddon guys and ask them. You're probably not the only one who's not sure. I imagine that what you get when you google "find out steam id" is the answer, and this site might help with that. But it's better to be sure. Anything other than an official answer will be speculation.

It is actually brought up on the comments section and the Carmageddon fourm. D'oh!

Apparently it is not a simple answer ;-)

well technically there was "Shadowgate 64" which was a shadowgate in 3D but year, I understand what you mean, if they could do it something like Amnesia but with more exploration/RPG elements then I'd be all for it

Actually i like the way shadowgate is done, and a remake would be great. But i'd like to see what they are doing, but a sequel basically.

I played the original alot due to having it on the NES back in the day, there are youtube lets plays, and also the music can be listened to online.

Although an updated soundtrack of the original should be exciting. Worth the remake just to hear that, even though the originals music and graphics still hold up ok today, in my opinion.
