I always liked the classic Everquest intro, it brings back memories of when my brother and I used to play when we were little.

Two Double Fine games for me. Psychonauts, and Brutal Legend. I really liked both the game intro to Brutal Legend and even the intro video to the menu/overall presentation of it was interesting. I love Double Fine.

My favorite videogame intro...? Really hard to say, probably Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver intro... ^_^
I can't say what my definitive number one favorite of all time is, but just drawing from recent memory, I think that the intro for XCOM: Enemy Unknown was really well done. Sets the stage for the game perfectly.

Dawn of War and Warcraft 3 definitely

honorable mention: KKND 2 and Dark Reign
Ys Origins
F.E.A.R.
Like others before me, it's hard to nail down a 'favourite' - here's a couple, though, that left a lasting impression on me:

Persona 3
Persona 3 Intro
- While it's not some graphical tour de force, the stark visuals paired with Shoji Meguro's stunning audio work captured my attention in a way that no overblown festival of CGI ever could. Of course, it helps that it's the intro to one of the greatest gaming experiences of all time (personal opinion ahoy!)

Mechcommander
Mechcommander Intro
- Decently-acted FMV? In a videogame intro? How very dare they! :) Seriously though, a great intro, genuinely fun and exciting and got me pumped to play the game (which is quite a feat as I tend to shy away from anything like RTS games).

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven
The live action things are bollocks, but I'll be buggered if this wasn't awesome infinities ago.
I see FF VIII listed a bunch but my favorite Final Fantasy intro was VI

Ys Book I & II on the TG16/PC Engine made my jaw drop as the only cd games I saw before it were early Sega CD games that weren't very good. At least until Sonic CD.
Grand Theft Auto 2.
The intro for that had me in the mood for the game from the first moment I watched it.
It also stars some actor who was / could still be in Eastenders. (A very badly written and quite boring BBC soap)
So simple and yet so good.
There have been soooooooo many memorable Intros but I am going with The Witcher today - thatt is subject to change tomorrow.
