It is one of the least intelligent creatures in the entire game (slightly less intelligent than large insects, but a bit more intelligent than worms), so it might just not be able to comprehend the situation, and so it instead stands there with a goofy smile, in an attempt to cover it up.

Alright then, time for some totally unfair hints! Remember, all of these are PC games and the hints make sense in the context of the games, though I'm sticking with the "Totally unfair" theme.

Actually, I would also like to make a correction. One of these games that I said had no internet presence outside of torrent sites actually has a writeup on a famous site dedicated to old games

I've got two correct guesses thus far. Austrobogulator managed to correctly guess game number 4 & DProject got game number 1 so I'll wait until tomorrow evening before I close this and announce a winner. I actually expected game number 2 to be the easiest one.
