Instead of doing a soppy 'look at me and my first post thread' (lame) I thought I'd point out a game I'd love to see here: Unreal. No, not Unreal Tournament, but the original Unreal itself.
You'd think that after 10 years a simple FPS like Unreal would be absolutely dead, but it's not. In fact there's work going on right now to release a new patch for it, fixing not only network performance issues (coop rocks), but also adding proper support for OpenGL and OpenAL: http://oldunreal.com/
It's still to this day one of my favorite games, at least it would be if I could find a copy.
Does anyone else feel nostalgic about this game?

I still have a copy, and play it co-op with friends at lans :)
I never got into Unreal, Quake, Hexen etc ... tried them and got bored fairly quickly. Quake 1 was the only one which I played for any amount of time, but I never really rated it.
I did however really enjoy Unreal Tournament, mainly playing single player against the bots was always fun (especially in the slow-mo mode!)
EDIT : I do agree that such games are well worthy of a place on GOG though :)

To be fair, I think the only reason I keep coming back to Unreal is the fantastic community, which while small, has several great coop servers that you can spend hours blasting Skaarj on.
My favorite servers would be the Hyper Coop servers.
I used to play it a fair bit in 2006-2007 (Well after the release date). However, there is only so many times you can go over the same map before you need something else & new (or old!).
Not only was the co-op and dm experience fun, but the players were friendly and the language level polite and readable. A big change from the loud profane and txt/7ee+ speak of other places.
That's funny, I just started re-playing Unreal today because I want to write a review for it on my abandonware site :-)
When Unreal and Half Life were released at about the same time, Unreal has always been my favourite, for some reason I liked the whole atmosphere way more, the feeling you're all alone on an invaded planet.
The OpenGL update on oldunreal.com makes the game look extremely pretty, even when you compare it with the newer games these days.
Well, everything Unreal has already been released on Steam.

I've had some pretty nasty experiences with Steam in the past, so I don't really want to have it running on my system when there's a website like this that could do the job better without requiring me to run invasive software.
Besides, I use Linux, so Unreal can be run natively, with greater performance than if I was to run it using Steam and Wine.
