tinyE: If you ever get to the States I'll take you to Eddie's home town. It's only about 4 or 5 hours from here. Of course they don't like people snooping around so we'll have to be discreet.

Apok: The Witcher: I started playing it, but then I went on vacation and when I got back I couldn't get back into it. Consequentially I haven't even started playing the second game.

Mirror's Edge: I can see why people like it and the first few times I played it I really liked the visuals and the concept, but after a few hours I got bored of it.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines: I don't even have en explanation here. I love the atmosphere and for it's age the game plays very well. I don't know why I never finished it.

Shadow Warrior (2013): I got to a part where I kept dying, but I'm too stubborn to turn the difficulty down.

Serious Sam: The second encounter: I played the first Serious Sam and loved it. The second is more of the same with even more content. No particular reason I stopped.

Fallout 3: It's good, but never really appealed to me enough to finish it. I should start New Vegas which I'm told is better (should probably even try the old ones).

Space Quest II: Bet you didn't expect this one! Admittedly this game is before my time, but I really enjoyed the first one and after finishing the first one I attempted the second. It has attitude and will not be kind, but If the player is willing enough to endure it you get a classic Sierra game experience. I lack the will, as the game is very mean. :p

Hopefully writing all of that will force me to play some of those to completion. :)

Antimateria: In my opinion Witcher 1 is better in every sense, second one has too much political baffle. That combat.. how I could like witcher 2 combat because it was so small and linear so i did not even have a chance to understand that mechanics where you had to guess when to drink a potion..

Yeah.. I would prefer beyond good and evil 2 to kick mirrors edge 2's face.

monkeydelarge: I hate Mirror's Edge. Too much running away for my taste. It would be nice if once in awhile you could lay traps for the assholes chasing you or turn around once in awhile to unload a SMG clip into their faces. I know you can fight them in the game with punches and kicks but that is not enough. The game also throws some puzzles your way and I'm not into that kind of stuff. It ruins the mood for me.

Apok: Yeah, the enemies can really get frustrating. I think shying away from combat is fine, but the game would really benefit from another gameplay aspect. I got really bored of just running away and solving puzzles over and over again. We'll see with Mirror's Edge 2 I guess.

And imagine if the main character can enter some kind of berserk mode where all her kicks and punches instantly kill. So she can turn around and just beat the crap out of 100 of those thugs chasing her.

Apok: That would mess with their pretty art style though and your eyes wouldn't hurt as a consequence. :p

Fenixp: I would have actually liked them to just drop combat altogether - it's simple enough, if you disliked the running, it's not a game for you and if they put more resources into fighting, running would suffer as a consequence. As it stands, I wish they wouldn't put any resources at all into combat - altho I suppose it's ok as it is, the combat is meant as a last resort and is rather simplistic anyway.

My point is: More and better running = more of what Mirror's Edge is good at. Improving combat would definitely not make people who actually like Mirror's Edge all that happy.

Fenixp: Heh, don't you worry, I don't give a toss about your happiness. I'm saying that even if combat were improved, you wouldn't have enjoyed the game more because the main focus would still be the same - and the game would just end up being worse overal. Not every game out there is made for you.

Antimateria: Those are marketed to people who parkeur everywhere.. "I've seen this wall" Go it again but now there are goombas and glass shards also you must rescue girl metroid and shoot zombiez.
