Will Valve even show up at this year's E3?

I bet Valve is going to announce either Half-Life 2 Episode 3 OR Half Life 3

To be honest... nothing interesting?

Most AAA games don't interest me, and I usually already know about those that do and that might be coming out anytime soon.
So the only things I've seen in the last few E3 are overblown hype, stuff I already know about games I might buy, ridiculous hype, vague stuff about games that sound interesting but won't be coming out for years, mind-boggling hype, and lots of news about the latest generic shooters that I couldn't care less about. Oh, and did I mention the stupid hype?


In other words it's been a long time since E3 had anything actually meaningful in it for me.

But the hype...!
If you look past the AAA hype though, lots of info about about the smaller games can be found ;)

Maybe. But frankly I just don't have the patience or the time to sift through all the marketing bullshit to find out about any potential hidden gems.

The fact is that at any given time, I have more interesting games to play than time to play them, and I'm also aware of several games coming out in the near future that I'll probably buy.
So unless someone offers something that sounds really good, I'm unlikely to go out of my way to find things that will just add to my backlog.

So it's confirmed: the XB1crap doesn't play used games until retailers and publishers will decide so, has to phone home every 24 hours even if you play only single player games (like me) and exploits the unreliable, useless and dumb "cloud" concept to improve gaming performances - meaning that if you don't connect the console to the Internet, some games will not work as well as expected by the developers....

Wow, just wow: I thought this console was troublesome, but now I really fear that the entire Microsoft company is possessed by some sort of suicidal syndrome that will sink it all....

It will be interesting to see if the press make some kind of united stand against the Xbox One and what is means for game ownership and privacy, but I doubt this will happen. Once MS announce all the XB1 exclusive titles at E3 they'll just go back to salivating over Halo 10 or whatever it is that's coming out.
