The Dark Heart of Uukrul, an RPG wonderfully innovative for its time (1989).
mobygames page
Really excellent, polished, beautiful design - in contrast to, say, Curse of Azure Bonds (also 1989), a conceptually good game which is mostly sloppiness and rough edges everywhere.

Arcade: Robotron 2084, Joust, Spy Hunter, OutRun, Golden Axe, Final Fight, Double Dragon, Dragon's Lair, Time Pilot '84, Sinistar, U.N. Squadron, Strider, Q*Bert's Qubes, Gauntlet 2, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Choplifter, Silkworm, Tetris

Atari: Moon Patrol, Warlords, Millipede, Frostbite, Robot Tank, Turmoil, Solar Fox, Haunted House, Berzerk, Othello, Enduro, Pitfall 2, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Phoenix, Ms PacMan, Trick Shot, Pressure Cooker, Keystone Kapers, Megamania, Seaquest, Empire Strikes Back

Colecovision: Mr.Do!'s Castle, Gateway to Apshai, H.E.R.O., Ladybug, Q*Bert, Gyruss, Centipede, Blockade Runner, Frenzy, Time Pilot, Burgertime, Antarctic Adventure, Venture, Tutankham, Jumpman Junior, Sewer Sam, Frogger, Defender - for several of these, the Coleco version was the best version on any system, others are just nostalgia

C64: Airborne Ranger, Pirates!, Gunship, Strike Fleet, Gran Prix Circuit, Last Ninja, Archon, Labyrinth, Aliens, Ghostbusters, Bard's Tale 2, Might & Magic, Phantasie 2, Pool of Radiance, Sword of Fargoal, Ultima IV, Wasteland, Barbarian, Way of the Exploding Fist, Beach Head 2, Raid over Moscow, Raid on Bungling Bay, Fort Apocalypse, Beyond the Forbidden Forest, Skool Daze, Bubble Bobble, Ghosts 'n Goblins, Commando, Portal (which is still to me the most mind-blowing story in a videogame ever)

Robocop - Spectrum 128
Last Ninja 2 - C64
Rick Dangerous - C64 & Amiga
Neuromancer - C64
Zak McKraken - C64
The Bards Tale Trilogy - C64 & Amiga

Still play all those on the respective systems and love them, Last Ninja 2 and Rick Dangerous are my favorites out of those.

darthspudius: Golden Axe!!!
Yes! I played it first in the mid 90's though, on the Megadrive. The coop mode was great fun, it practically brough the whole family together.
Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap

Tempest and Dragon's Lair at the arcades. Happy Days..

Still does in my house. I have owned so many copies of that game over the years it's just plain silly!
On C-64
Gunship, Neuromancer, Elite.

I still compare all space sim to Elite and I've yet to find anything that measure up.
All my C-64 stuff is in boxes in a closet except for Neuromancer which is on a shelf among pc games.
As for Gunship, it is simply a miracle that such a game could exist on a C-64. But you check games at the beginning of the C-64 era against games at the end of the era and you'd swear there were a few cpu and graphic chip upgrade during the period.
I think my favorite games from the 1980's was 1989 Prince of Persia and A Nightmare On Elm Street.
