I'm thinking of grabbing one while it's on sale. I have Police Quest 1+2+3+4 but don't feel like doing another one of those yet(played the first two). After playing through Gabriel Knight 2 and The Longest Journey I'm now out of adventure games other then LittleBigAdventure to play. So I think want one more placeholder on my shelf for after I do that one.

Any $6 dollar adventure game recs are welcome really. I do want to try Tex Murphy sometime but don't think I want to spend 10 right now. How is 1+2?

My personnal favourite isn't here ( Larry...). My second favourite is history for you ( Gabriel knight )

SWAT 1+2 and Space Quest 4+5+6 are good choices as well.

King quest 1+2+3 are available as fan remakes for free

Outside of the Sierra familly, the broken sword series are efficient point and click adventures, and the Alone in the dark trilogy is well worth a try

Unfortunately no Phantm of the opera , Rex Nebular (Microprose) or Call of Chtulu on GOG yet ....

That;s right I haven't played Broken Sword yet, skipped it right over on my shelf. I liked the second one.

I'll just remind you that the promo ends in some 8 hours, if I'm counting right.

(My unsolicited advice: the early KQ and SQ games are crap. I'm told the later ones are better, but definitely do not buy the 1-3 packages. If you are interested in them for historical reasons, watch a Let's Play instead, it will take like 20 minutes each. Alternatively, there are the free remakes of KQ1-3; those are a little less crap.)

Yes, I'm more interested in the 3-6, and 7-8 packs. Police Quest 1 and 2 were a bit dated for me and I'm pretty sure the other 1-4 packs are even older.

yes they are older. but you might not like king quest 8 (7 is good though)
so then safe bet is space quest 4/6

You can play the remakes if original ones seems too dated.
