My favourite box was the black and gold Ocarina of Time one. It just looked so special and made me anticipate the game even more.
A few Infocom games come to mind. The cool goodies ("feelies") featured on the boxbacks lured me into buying all of them. Yep, even Plundered Hearts.

Ultrabots! The original box almost looked like a robot... actually two smaller boxes joined with a cardboard tube so the two halves could swivel independently.

As mentioned some of the early Infocom games were cool. Starcross came in a "UFO" box.

I think one of the Deja Vu games came in a box with a 3D vacuum-formed white plastic face (like a mask) inset into the front.
What I love about box art from really old games, is that in the game it was just a few pixels which bear little resemblance to the drawing, leaving a lot of space for imagination...

WhoKnowscs: The topic says most of it. What game boxes have been your favorites over the years? It can be because of box art being great but it doesn't necessarily need to be all the graphics. Maybe the PR descriptions are fun to read(for whatever reason) or looking at the box gets you pumped to play it.

Two of my favorites are the X-Wing Collectors CD and Tie Fighters Collectors CD boxes.

So what are your favorites (Doesn't need to be computer only)?
I always had a soft spot for the ridiculous art style from the days of terrible graphics. The Legend of Blacksilver typified this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legend_of_Blacksilver
