I'm looking at chair options. I'm not happy with the height and/or adjustment options on most office chairs as none of them tend to hit the correct spot with me. I'm mostly thinking of carpel tunnel and sitting comfort. I'm also needing something that can work in front of a desk. (so huge cockpit style chairs won't help me)

While this chair doesn't really scream out, ERGONOMICS! I'm thinking my arms and wrist would get some rest sitting at a better default position and I wouldn't be so tempted to lean forward.

My question is two fold...

1. Any experience at all with the chair linked above? (personal, word of mouth, etc.)

2. anything you'd like to share about your gaming setup that others might be interested in?

Thanks!

i dont mean to troll but do you really want to feel like your having a vasectomy everytime yuou sent in front of the computer? This look like a dentist chair.

the important things about ergonomy is the height and distance at which your monitor is and the position at which you rest your arms when typing (avoid shoulder pain).

Correct, and the pro I see is that it eliminates 2 gaps that I currently reach over. The first gap, being the height above and/or below my keyboard/mouse because the chairs I've tried can't EXACTLY match the desk height. The second being the gap between how close I can get my chair to the desk lip based on the wheels and the chair arms.

The chair swivels, reclines, etc. and is reported to match many more angles than a standard chair. Not sure where you are seeing the pain, but I'm looking for feedback ;) I won't ask why you get vasectomy's at your dentist... :p

I'm sitting on a gym ball. The tricky part was to find a desk that would work well with it.
I sit on one of these:

I have a friend who games (online too) on an exercise bike. It's certainly a great idea for gaming & getting fit.

Vasectomy? From your dentist?!? Yikes!

I use an old old old standard office chair with padding that has held up quite nicely over the years. If there is one thing that I would change about it, that would be to give it adjustable arm rests that can be raised or lowered. If I could change another, there would be a knob to adjust the resistance given against reclining.

So those are a couple things I'd look for in a new chair, along with a lumbar adjustment. Most importantly, you just gotta sit in one for a while, preferably in a setup similar to your desk at home (same working height, same clearance under the desktop to clear the arms).
I generally avoid chairs with arms because I have a tendency to use them and that can lead to putting too much weight on your arms, which can cause serious problems.

I remember a company tried this (possibly released one) where the game bike was the controller. Pedaling faster would make your character move faster, etc. I see console variations for racers, but the review I read talked about an FPS. I don't think this took off.

I urgently recommend that you change your dentist.
This is my "office" seating of choice, I decided to leave out the armrests when assembling it (since I prefer not having armrests, they're in the way when getting in and out of the chair, and even when in it I have little use of them).
The old product from this company: http://www.indachi.co.id/product/list.php?cat=21

Office Master will construct a custom chair out of parts you select and their warranty is really good. Look for a local dealer and you can actually go try out anything he/she has in stock. I've had them ship me replacement parts even though they couldn't find my warranty info. Plus the fellow gave me helpful instructions on how to install the replacement part.
I'm sitting on my bed.
