How disappointed was I when I found out it had nothing to do with the Last Chancers novel? Anyway, it's a sort of "Prequel" game exclusive to PSN and XBLA (even though Space Marine is coming to all platforms, 'cept Wii), played at some weird-ass 2.5D angle. A "twin-stick" shooter they call it, which I assume means that there's no "fire" button in favour of using an analog stick to fire in the direction pushed. At least THQ took the time to finish it before sacking their UK team.
well i shall wait till it is available on pc maybe a long wait lool
I played the demo and I'm thinking about pausing my playthrough of Alice TMR to buy and play it. I really want a co-op partner for it, sadly, I have none.

EDIT: I think buying it gets you some sort of moderate special weapon in Space Marine later on. I wouldn't recommend buying it for that, but refreshingly it's broken the "everything's 15 bucks now" Live trend. It's 800 points/10 USD.

That's exactly what it means. Think Geometry Wars or the redone Alien Breed games. Tons of pickups that can allow for some strategic playing. You get four classes too, though only 2 are playable in the demo.

Lastly there's a superpower for each class which is kind of fun to fire off, the Space Marine goes all Gatling gun for a few seconds, but it's enough to pretty much clear the screen.

The critical thing to note is that you need a LOCAL coop partner, its not got online at all which is frankly bloody disappointing. Its a fun little shooter and all but the lack of online coop means theres at least one achievement I'm never getting (I don't care about them that much but its annoying when its one I want to do and can't)

Oh wtf I didn't even notice that!!! Now I have to check again, yeah split screen co-op is not how I wanted to play this game. Hell it's not that it's not fun but it looks like a reskinned Alien Breed (they could have used the same engine and maybe did). Why is there no XBox Live co-op? Do they have an explanation?
Explanation? They don't even mention the lack, theres just no option for inviting someone on live to play. At least not that I found, I just realised I never tried it with a party invite but I doubt it'd work

Well worthplaying seems to think it's 100% MIA as well, so I wouldn't hunt too hard. Stupid, stupid decision.
