Get Thief, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Soul Reaver, and more Square Enix titles 50% off!

If you read the tagline, what more is there really to add? Our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/square_enix_weekend_promo_080213]Ultimate Square Enix promo offers you the chance to get games from some of the most exciting series with a nice 50% off discount. Square Enix catalog features some of the most impressive gems in the GOG.com offer. Titles that evoke memories and emotions in thousands and thousands of gamers. The character cast of the Square Enix stable alone is impressive enough to make one's heart race. If GOG.com had a red carpet, celebrities such as Lara Croft, Garret the Master Thief, Agent 47, Kain and Raziel, and JC Denton would arrive to walk it on a limousine marked by Square Enix logo. Let's take a quick look at the featured games, shall we?

Lara Croft is the ever-shining star of the Tomb Raider series. Lately her character has undergone some major changes. Here, we give you a chance to spend some quality time with good--erm--classic Lara. Tomb Raider 1+2+3, Tomb Raider: Last Revelation + Chronicles, and Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness sum up all of the miss Croft's early career, for only $4.99 each!

Yet another hero who is a fan of property re-assignment concept, Garret the Thief is now preparing a big return. On GOG.com you can catch up wit all of his adventures, as long as you can keep up with him, as he silently moves through the shadows. Thief Gold, Thief 2: The Metal Age, and Thief 3: The Deadly Shadows let you experience the life of a thievery archmaster, for only $4.99 each!

Also preferring to keep a low-profile, Agent 47 is the main character of the Hitman series. The newest game featuring the bald assassin brought a lot of new ideas to the table, and not all of them met with gamers' appreciation. We give you first two classic Hitman games: Hitman: Codename 47 for only $2.99 and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, for only $4.99!

That's only a small taste of the Square Enix title you can get 50% off this weekend. Head out to our Ultimate Square Enix promo page, to check out the whole offer!

Below, you'll find a new episode of This Week on GOG, a short video guide to recent events, promos, and other happenings on the site. By the way, if you haven't already, you might want to follow the GOG.com channel on Youtube, so you won't miss our shows, specials, and exclusive trailers.

PenutBrittle: Thank you TheEnigmaticT, for convincing me to stop buying games from GOG. Seems counterproductive from a marketing perspective, but job well done.
Seems... reasonable ;-)

btw. I didn't like TET defending Licurg, but well. Treat is as his personal opinion, not as GOG.com official policy :P I was pretty sure that TET will just enter with "calm the fuck down!" and slam some doors (without banning anyone, but hey...

I, for example, couldn't care less about online harrasement or death threats of that kind. If that were on facebook, where people can track me down and find me, then yes.

But some Liturd from Romania? Gimme a break... And gameon can be oversensitive, at least from what I remember. But this time, gameon was right to be upset, imho (but it wasn't a death threat)

TET is sort of public figure so he probably receives "threats" like that every day, so maybe he just got a little less sensitive to things like that being said online.

This whole mess should have been solved via PM, in my opinion. Granted that the blue people can sometimes be slow in their responses that way, but it's definitely a better way to deal with personal attacks and insults from one user to other. Whether you call them harrasment, bullying, threats or some other word, the moderation doesn't belong to the topic, but more importantly, shouldn't be discussed in public (unless it is a general issue that deserves a warning to everyone).

Just my view on the subject.
I think the community itself solved it as good as it could -- by downrepping and hiding the posts. Seems sufficient to me. The comments about mental illness were indeed uncalled for, though.
What about this?

Badmouthing GOG around the internet is totally uncalled for.
/sigh
So much drama.

"Nice, you own all the games from this promo."
Maybe next one?
Hopefully, by now, everyone has the complete Thief series.

CymTyr: TET you really should watch what you say about mental illness. It may be legal in your formerly communist country to make fun of people with disabilities, but here in the US it is against the law.
Get out.
You guys are seriously still talking about that thing...
Well, I'm not cancelling my account, but my respect for TET really did take a dive.
Got all the Squeenix games I want for now, except for Daikatana. Might pick that one up over the weekend.

TheEnigmaticT: .snip.
Is it just me or anyone else would like to hear Mr. Enigmatic T going into responsible super mod mode in a video, complete with his usual marketing voice tone from gog's weekly videos?

"And this is it for the week in GOG's Respect and Good Manners Class... see you next time! And remember, you can only make one too many death threats before we bring the cops down on you."

:)

That would be Awesome!

Who the crap pulled the drama tag? Jeez.
I'm starting to suspect that GOG has some kind of mind reader being used on me. Since registering, every time I've seen a game which I've heard about but didn't realise was on GOG, and which I've wanted to buy, GOG's put it on sale within about 3 weeks!

Now, can I resist buying thief?
