Get Master of Orion 1-3, Alone in the Dark 1-4, KKND 1&2, and more endangered Atari classics 65% off!

Out of all gaming industry brands in existence, Atari always was one of the most recognizable and respectable. For over 40 years the name has became inseparably associated with unpretentious gaming fun. The amount of progress a single company can bring to an industry is simply astounding. From game cabinets to home consoles, from 8-bit classics to recent blockbusters, from engineering to publishing--the company was always in the center of it. It's unlikely there are many gamers who weren't saddened by the news of company's trouble. Whatever happens now, we should hope that it will emerge victorious once the dust settles, as it did numerous times before. Gaming legends are forever, so today all there's left to say is: [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]Thank you, Atari!

The entire Atari catalog on GOG.com is available 65% off. We're talking landmark titles like Master of Orion 1+2, Alone in the Dark 1+2+3, Total Annihilation: Commander Pack, Star Controll 1+2, and , among many others. Head out to the [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_120713]promo page, to see the entire selection. The offer lasts until Tuesday, July 16, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!
Following the advice of several people here, I took the blood saga, which added to the riddick games which I already have bought, ends the list of atari games I could have interest in. Thanks GOG :)
Wasn't "Temple of Elemental Evil" also published by Atari?

That is under Hasbro now as with all D & D games
I guess it's time to get the Master.
I just noticed Pirates and Pirates Gold come as separate programs, that's odd. What's the difference? Besides added content that is. Normally when I get a gold version of something they add the new stuff to the old stuff and make it just one game. Why not here?

It's the original Sid Meiers Pirates! from the end-80s and it's mid-90s remake Pirates! Gold. Like the Sierra-Adventure remakes Larry Suit Larry, Space Quest, Quest for Glory or King's Quest you get a remake with better graphics and some minor tweaks and changes.

Yeah I'm beginning to see that from playing. It actually seems identical in terms of story and setup which is great for me. I need to work on my fencing, though my Logitech game pad is doing a surprisingly good job with it.
Will those Atari-Games stay on GOG (as Atari-non-US is still in existance) or will the rights go to another publisher?

Crosmando: Sucks how so many former MicroProse games are not on GOG, and should be owned by Atari. Heaps of simulation-type games, but also there's BloodNet (a cyberpunk RPG/adventure game hybrid) and Legacy Realm of Terror (a first-person Lovecraftian horror RPG) which were also MicroProse published.
Yeah, I would love to see Legacy: Realm of Terror on here. I bought the game back in 93 or 94 but unfortunately there is a loud pop every time a sound effect starts and stops which makes the game unplayable for me in DOSBox. I need GOG to fix this!
I should have been in bed a couple of hours ago. Instead I'm sitting here staring at my GOG basket and trying to talk myself in to/out of buying some games. The sale is just at a sucky time.

I have the CD's for Outcast & I-War 2 but love the idea of a digital version that means I don't have to worry about CD's / no-cd patches. (I also have I-War on CD, but I have the GOG version as well)

Riddick is also very tempting. I haven't seen the movie but the game looks quite interesting / fun.

65% off is a great deal and the games might go. ARGH!

It depends on who gets the IPs. I seriously doubt some publisher would be a jerk and buy the RCT rights to sit on them though. GOG did say they're going to do what they can and I'm sure with Night Dive backing them up it should be fine.

For some reason I though these sales ended at 8am CST (as was the case with the Summer sale bundles), just missed out on what I thought would be a few last night pick-ups. For now I'm wish listing these and hoping they stay available on GOG (or that we get a good heads up before they're pulled). Thanks to GOG for the sale.
So when do they find out today/tomorrow which games Atari has sold, what time is it in merica?
Haven't seen any further news on the Atari IP auction yet. Good to see the games are still on GOG for the moment.
