Spoot. Well, thanks anywho.
Just bought 1nsane (the only game I didn't have) after thinking if I should pass on a game I might not like. Downloading at the speed of light (well, 1.06 MB/s).

One way, if he has no account yet, would be to create an account for him and buying the game for that account or if he has an account, buy the game using that account.

iWi: Quick comment from GOG's side. TOCA is expiring due to expiration of certain Codemasters licenses in the product with regards to cars. We do not know the details, but this is common with licensed products - for example Pro Evolution Soccer for given year is sold only till mid of next year and then Konami is not allowed to sell it anymore - they release a new version.

Thanks for the explanation, now the removal makes a lot of sense, and it's an unfortunate loss for everyone involved :(
At least GOG warned us about this, some other companies could learn a lot from them...
Yeah, thanks for giving a little warning this time. It was frustrating, to say the least, when Operation Flashpoint disappeared, and it's great to get warnings so we can act before they're yanked.
I bought and downloaded Flatout with the GOG downloader however the setup lacks an icon, i ran the setup and the file integrity checker gave no error messages so i installed the game anyway. So my question is should i worry that the Flatout installer has no icon? i attached a pic so you can all see what i am talking about.

I picked up Flatout today but i still haven't downloaded it.
But i have some GOG installers without icons and those games installed and work fine, like the 3 Fallout games, In cold Blood, Sacred Gold, etc., so i wouldn't worry :)

It's fine, I get that no-icon thing all the time.
I'm using the GOG Downloader to get all three games. It works OK, but it is slow. So slow that I'm probably not going to use it in the future. I realize that I am far from the only one downloading these games right now, but over 30 minutes just for Flatout? I'm guessing TOCA will take most of the rest of the day, and it's 9:50am where I am.
The bigger files seem to have no icons, while smaller are fine.
I don't know if that's the rule, though.
So i guess the having no icon is normal sometimes, it's annoying but i think i can live with the setup having no icon. Thanks for the answers guys!
The no icon stuff happens to me sometimes, I've never given too much importance though.

*That's* a good idea, I could actually do that.
I've tried twice and the file is always corrupt. I'm now trying the third time with frustration.
Anyone have this problem?

What download method did you use?
