It is still now available at GOG, but just in case you are still interested, it is now available at DotEmu: http://www.dotemu.com/en/download-game/1466/soulbringer

great day today, thank u very much for the news!!!
now really GOG has no excuses to delay the release of this underrated action/RPG adventure gem, spiritual sequel to Realms of the Haunting!!!
I have the PS:T/Soulbringer bundle. I installed Soulbringer once, played it a bit, and then uninstalled it. Every once in a while I think about trying it again, but I never do.

I played it a bit, too. The game is dark and there is no helpful map. I have it here on my WinXP partition and I don't boot it often.
A couple of months ago I bought the old Prima guide (with maps!) and now the game from DotEmu with Win7 support. I'll give it a try.

I loved the setting and missions....never got far though as I got to a point where i'd been to most areas open to me and couldn't figure what to do next...did part of the town and sewers area, and got to the mountain pass I think.
I read the text in the OP's image as Frontal Schlong. ^_^' Now that would be epic!

One sees only what one wants to see. ;)
I installed the game under Win7 and noticed the same font rendering issue as under WinXP.
I figured out that it works when you select the software renderer with 8 bpp and in flags.dat set FULL to 0 (unfortunately then you have scaled [edit]640x480[/edit]).

when i played it on XP i never had any graphics issue. i used default or no more than 1024*768.

p.s.
please anyone who wants this great title here on GOG, this is the right time to contact GOG staff about your desire!

Even with unscaled 640x480 I get strange artifacts (see screenshot, I figured out a "windowed" mode). The font rendering depends on bpp and it woks for me only with 8 bpp, which only the software renderer has. With a higher resolution than 640*480 the software renderer causes strange graphic colors, but text remains fine.

Just compare my last image with the attached one, which is my actual optimum (640x480 (actually scaled to 1680x1050), 8bpp).

It looks fine to me...albeit the textures are bigger/more blurred than in the other. Either way if you can read them why complain? I've played games like Darkstone on newer OSs/resolutions where the text was so garbled it was unreadable.
They must be joking! They are selling Soulbringer without a manual

When I think about it more precisely: Why does GOG declare manuals as "bonus"?
A manual belongs to a game, they are an inseparable unit. I don't buy manuals separately when I buy a game offline.
