Good thing which sale it was actually for was irrelevant. The point was that, despite how the GOGmix made it seem, those games weren't actually on sale.

Maybe you should edit the first game in that GOGmix to say that it's about a past sale; it's not exactly obvious to someone who might not use GOG all the time.

It must be said that I've encountered situations - particularly in automated supermarket checkouts - where you had to go several steps further than would be expected before discounts are applied. I wouldn't enter any payment details if the discount wasn't showing, though!

To be clear, you were looking at a GOG Mix. That's a list of games that a GOG user makes and then talks about the games. The GOG user IAmSinistar made that list so people could track what games were on a particular sale. IAmSinistar is just a guy on these forums who has a passion for informing people about GOG events, he is not a GOG representative at all.

Look at the front page of GOG.com and look at some of the news items on the right side of the screen. That's where you'll find sales.

Yes, in fairness we all should get a pass on things like this at least once. Hopefully the lesson was a good one and not too costly. There are many situations in which it could have been more dire.
