I used to have a 21" CRT that did 1600 x 1200. I miss the Real Estate, but not the massive Bulk of the CRT on my desk.

I also prefer widescreen as they are much easier to Portrait. I find Portrait to be far more productive for what I do most of the time. Still, those extra pixels to widen it out to 1200 would be very welcome.
Buy a 24 incher then, or bigger. :\

I'm on a 10" Notebook and my current resolution is 1024x600. But, the moment it's the new year, that's gonna change!

HereForTheBeer: Ya, productivity apps is where it makes a noticeable difference.

Two screens (laptop, desktop) and 1920x1080. Missing the 1920x1200 from my last laptop.
Same thing here. Just got a new laptop and dual monitors at work. It's nice, but the new ones are 1920x1080 where the old ones were 1920x1200. It annoys me quite a bit that I can't see as much at once as I used to.
