read some reviews which are all very positive but did some more research and its seems this game is very bugged(losing save games etc) and wont even start for some people, so has anybody encounted problems with this game or is it just a few people making mountains out of mole hills?

Haven't played it myself yet but a friend of mine beat it and he praised it a lot without mentioning any technical problems. Guess he didn't encounter any.

I have Windows Vista 64bits and it works fine.

Savegame issues were mostly due to a change they introduced in the second episode I think. I had no problems and I have played all the episodes so far. If you are afraid to lose them, you can always backup the related directory (something in My Documents).

I got one problem with episode 4 due to their episode downloading mechanism. I had to wait a few days after the release before being able to play it.

Otherwise, a fine experience to me, no crash whatsoever.

If the game isn't compatible with the basics of NT6+, install it outside of system-wide folders, and saved games won't be vanishing.

cheers for reply's, think i will pick this up as i love telltale games and the walking dead, seen it on gamestop site for £12.59, but don't know if i should wait that on the off chance it might be cheaper on steam next week for Halloween.


says i need the gamestop app, not heard the best about this, has anyone used it? cant see why i would need it this game is steamworks thought they would just give you the key.

Well, they will give you the key. You just need to install their app and click 'show me the key' or something like that. It's annoying, but then you can uninstall it, take a shower and forget about it forever. (At least that was my experience with DX: Human Revolution from them.)

i have the game and do have save issues in chapter 4, the rewind feature sems to only let me choose the earliest point of the chapter despite the fact i finished it

Have all the episodes been released yet?

I played the first one and the wait was so long for the second, that I figured I would wait until they were all done before starting over.

I think the plan is that the fifth, final one, is to be released next month. All should be out by the end of the year.
