Cavalary: ...can get supposedly better stuff and it'll still break almost as fast...
There are some manufacturers that try to go back to the roots ... for example in clothing i found this one
http://www.flintandtinderusa.com/hoodies/ten-year-hoodie
anyway, might be others also, hope to see this trend (re)grow.

Cavalary: In some places it's tolerated, despite being technically illegal. And, again, what about those who are barely a notch above actual slavery?
As for the second paragraph, what right would I have to complain if I would support the system I'm fighting against?
I don't really want to continue this slavery thing, I'll just say your a slave or your not a slave.... simple as that.

You'd have a right because even though you might not like it, your at-least working within the confines of that system helping those it can really help... the ones you want to help, the poor needs that system to work at it's best. Sitting back saying this is how it should be, while (lets be honest) helping yourself to stuff you want illegally helps nobody but you. Your not going to change the system without the majority, which let's be honest here you don't have.

It's better to help within the flawed system we have, then sitting back wishing the system would change...

Cavalary: Meant to add the relevant definition of justified harm there too, guess I should have. Harming someone who supports something that harms others is justified, even if they're just a tiny cog in the machine. And that's about, well, living beings (not limited to humans). Companies or "the economy" don't factor into it.

Anyway, they really just crossed my last line in the sand with re-adding the Penumbras. Regionally priced games more than 3 years old.
Well to be fair, your not just harming someone who harms someone else, your harming everyone regardless of what they have done. See above. Living beings depend on companies and the economy so I'd say they do factor in.

In my opinion, I think regionally priced games should be a far lesser issue than regionally locked movies... at-least with the games you technically get compensated the difference so your really not getting anything different that the rest of us,as I say technically.

Just adding my small vote (even if it may be a little late ^^") : it's a big nay for me : regional locking is a huge step in a wrong way, that GOG must absolutely avoid (but's it's only my opinion).

Big Nay on this one.
Region locks are DRM and if DRM is in and acceptable, I'm out.
I can begrudingly live with regional pricing by just ignoring those games, but region locked movies would be the last straw.

Oops just realized I'm a bit late on this, and glad the vote is 10:1 in favour of nay :D

From the vote post

Seeing more movies or other digital goods on GOG is something I can fully support *so long as it comes without any type of DRM*. Region locking and the other forms of use prevention that many industries have adopted as the norm are awful and should be avoided period.

Any company that wants to be responsible and sell truly, fully, DRM free digital goods, and wants to partner with GOG to do it, by all means go for it and I'll toss some money your way. Anything else does not belong on GOG.
