I rented The Last of Us and I did not like it for probably different reasons:

1. The game just has this boring Athmosphere for some reason, a contributing factor is the total lack of music or any ambiance.

2. I call bullshit on certain gameplay elements like the ability to see through walls because the character is listening to through the walls which is stupid, this game tries to be realistic but includes a feature like that.

3. This biggest reason, but clearly this game is just trying to hard as the answer to all the current issues the gaming industry is facing like women's representation in games and why most games cannot have serious stories and characters these days and fails at both.

My reaction of Ellie from her first appearance: Oh big shock a little girl says bad words like fuck and have some sort of indepent attitude wow she is so not a typical damsal :P

Yeah its tragic that Joel's daughter died in the beginning but I just had the reaction that Naughty Dog is just trying to hard to be dramatic, tragic, etc. by using the most simplest methods.

Honestly this game is the equivilant of Oscar Bait for films, heck this game also tries to hard to be like a film I would rather prefer it as a film.
Have you played the game, I have not do to the misfortune of the game not installing on my PS3 when I rented it from a video store.

And judging from the game information I have seen this seems to be a polished uped, better version of San Andreas with new content like Hunting and better gun controls.

Played GTA5 at a friend's house on his funbox...gave me flashbacks of GTA4 on PC, which has some of the worst, most boring gameplay I've encountered. If this is what counts as good gameplay on console, I'm seriously fucking sorry for you people. I could write a book on how bad the game mechanics and controls are in this game...but hey GOTY...CUZ COCK STAR!!!

I once got a little jaded for every game Rockstar releases, they always win game of the year. Infact I was worried and did not wanted L.A. Noire to win GOTY to give other games a chance.

But still this game clearly is not GTA 4 judging from the videos I have seen, and just playing at a friends house for a few hours is not good reason to say thats the whole game.

Since you clearly hated GTA 4, what do you think of GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas?

To be very honest i thought GTA V was a pretty good game. I haven't finished it yet, but so far i'm enjoying it. Not a GOTY by any means, but not a bad game either. And this is coming from someone who HATED GTA IV and disliked GTA III. I loved San Andreas and Vice City, though.

I am the other way around, I HATE GRAND THEFT AUTO III, It was boring, controls sucked, characters sucked,the city sucked, everything about the game sucked. Heck I say GTA 4 is the true GTA 3 judging from the same city improves upon everything like better characters and gameplay and really feeling like New York City.
