ZamFear: I don't think the version of Troopers linked is the latest. The release notes indicate it's version 5.0
Version 6.0 here.

Oh, great. 2% left to download on the one here, then this...

Is GOG going to host a dedicated for Alien Swarm? That might boost sales for a while, since Alien Swarm is one of the more stable, popular mods out there.

Oh god please! I always wondered why this mod never took off. I find it better than all the multiplayer FPS star wars games out so far!
Oh man. I remember playing all these mods when they first came out. I still play some of them every once in a while. All of them are really great, with the exception of Soul Keeper. That one felt kind of buggy and weird.
Of course there many more mods out there. I love UT2004!

I was going to ask the same thing for the air buccaneers mod in the future, didn't want to ask so soon after the servers just being put up. Not as a permanent thing but a few days like this star wars mod. I think most people should enjoy it, its more random fun based gameplay then being competative.

Paczyk: Yes they are, in addition the Ashura Dark Reign and Hollow Moon are single player only.
I highly recommend them all.

Uhm, Troopers didn't use to work with bots on the space combat maps. Dunno if that's changed, or if they cut space combat out of the mod altogether.

As of version 6 they work quite nicely. :)

Do any UT2004 mods even have players anymore?
I had great times with Alien Swarm, Air Buccaneers, Frag Ops, and Troopers back in the day.(about 3/4 years ago)

my favourite UT2004 mods in order of preference:
1. Alienswarm
2. Red Orchestra
3. Air Buccaneers

Killing Floor the mod was my fave ever. Then Red Orchestra, then some CS-like game that I can't remember.

GOG: You need to fix the errors regarding Alien Swarm in the spotlight article. The information is incorrect, and confusing.
To re-iterate:
"Alien Swarm: Infested" is the Source engine follow-up (which is still in development).
The original UT2004 mod is simply "Alien Swarm", and its URLs are:
http://www.blackcatgames.com/alienswarm.html
http://www.blackcatgames.com/asv1/
You need to fix that, because it's not at all obvious how to download the UT2004 mod from the link you've provided!
