The forum has started "eating" replies on me (I click "Post", nothing shows up in the thread), something we have often seen in the past when site traffic goes up on a big release. Anyone else seeing any weird issues?

To respond to the OP, is it possible you had more opening tags than closing ones (eg [ quote] with no [ /quote])? That caused it to just sit there and not post for me the other day.

No, I clicked post and the posting window closed normally, but nothing appeared in the thread and no errors showed up. It only happened in one thread but this has happened many times before to GOG, though it has been a while.

On another note, I have another new weirdness. When I do post something, instead of loading up the page where the post should be, it loads up the prior page (i.e. I was replying on page 15 of the thread, but when I click post and the page refreshes, page 14 shows up). So far I'm only seeing it happen in the very active "System Found!" thread, but it has been happening more frequently as the day progresses.

EDIT - Now it's happening in other threads too, but not consistently. Already tried the usual (other browsers, clearing cache, reboot, etc.) still keeps happening, so I don't think it's on my end.

I'm just being a smartass. :P

See, now THAT IS FUNNY! I haven't been able to do that at all today. Every joke I have thrown out there today has missed by a mile and I'm starting to get worried.

On a serious note, even if I didn't want to play SS2 (which I REALLY REALLY do) I'd have to just to keep up in here. I don't have a clue as to what half of this terminology means.

I think its a good thing the game will be releasing at 6 AM EST so that will help spread the traffic out a bit of the initial rush of people buying the game.

Games with such an amount of nostalgia are kind of dangerous to play, because in reality they rarely feel as great as the 20 years+ before when you last time played them ;)

May? Start? You've been here long enough to know that this is not much different from the general state of affairs ;-) That's been happening to me on and off for the past 3-4 months.
