Simply boycotting all their games doesn't work. We have seen it in the past that when games don't sell companies like Ubisoft chalk it up to piracy because it's a convenient excuse to shareholders. What you really need to do is buy games that don't use the DRM you are protesting about like Ubisoft's games here on GOG. That way when they go to the shareholders saying "Piracy" they will turn around and say "Wait... the stuff we sold with no DRM actually sold quite well. Try again".
If you want a company to die, boycott all of its products.
If you want a company to learn, boycott only those products you have a problem with.

Quoted for its truthiness.
A new leak from a common Ubiuser who said this:
"Under one article about Ubi's "faboulous" DRM there was a user comment about one of Ubi's announcements. It said that Ubi is planning to keep the servers for each game for about two years and then shut them down and release patch to get rid of the game's DRM."
He himself ins't sure about it but the dude was one of the more radical anti-DRM users of the forum, so he may speak the truth:

The timescale would be about par for the course, if true. And then, AC2 will be very, very, cheap. (Or he could be confusing it with Sega's new DRM)

Yes, I would far rather they learn from their mistake than to go bankrupt.
Although if they go bankrupt they have a few IPs I wouldn't mind getting sold to better companies....
Ubisoft's own archivement pretty much sums up why not to buy any of their games:

Incorrect. Ubi will not be bankrupted over this latest fiasco, they will just get hurt when/where it counts, economically at the shareholders meeting, and they will remove the online garbage.
The thing is, most people accept steams, or GOG's restrictions (No refunds, ability to block use of undownloaded purchases, etc) in return for the benefits provided. This ubi platform is just BLATANT big brother, theres no benefit to the consumer.
Now that digital distribution has left the toddler years behind it seems its in the teenage I hate everyone years........ I think every other publisher will try and make their own digi system and until there are more universal rules and mindsets and such...its goign to be a nightmare for we consumers....
