KOCollins: I have now broke my self-imposed Ubisoft no buy agreement. In a word I have been inspired. In an effort to let bygones be bygones, to forgive and to forget, and also to give a tax break to one of the Koch brothers (who I'm sure, cruise these threads looking for giveaways in their spare time), I will gift a Ubisoft game. Enjoy oil barons of GOG: MHKF-EXBH-Z8QC-B3EX (Hero Chronicles) Of course. ;) PS: Rupert Murdoch, this is not for you, you're not rich enough.
is that a spinoff of homm? I don't really want to redeem it since I don't know anything about the homm series or if it would be a good jumping on point since I've been interested in tbs games lately (but need to do some more research) so I left it alone.

It came out between Heroes 3 and 4 and it is made in the same fashion as the third which is voted by most the best HOMM game. It is a great play on it's own. :)

"Chronicles" contains new campaigns for HoMM3, but teh engine is included, so you don't need HoMM3 to play it. When the Chronicles were released, they were basically a pre-DLC attempt to sell small snippets of content at high prices.

All of the campaigns from "Chronicles" also work in HoMM3, you just need to copy the files over. You can also find the campaign files in multiple map archives on the net, together with user-created campaigns, though I'm not sure about the legality of downloading them from there.

yeah I figured it was a stand alone expansion pack

I've just been thinking about the series but still need to go and do research on the gameplay and decide which one would be most worth getting.

Alfie3000: hhhmmm something is wrong here. In my account it says its not redeemed but your right about it saying its used when you redeem gift. I've certainly never pasted this code before. Either it's locked out from people checking out the code or GOG generated me a dodgy key.
I just redeemed Neverwinter Nights. Thank you Alfie3000! :)
