So... being the nosy git that I am... I shot of a mail yesterday to Keith Aram, who holds the rights to Toonstruck as many of you may already know. In the mail I sent, I made some general enquiries and also bigged up GoG, our community, and the love of many for Toonstruck and the want for its sequel too. I figured I'd share the mail I got back today.

"Hello Tim -

Thanks for your mail, and support for Toonstruck. We are currently evaluating several options to re-release the game, and hope to have news shortly. GoG seems like a great community, and this may be a good direction for a PC version of the game. We will also be evaluating the 2nd half of the game soon, and hopefully if TS1 does well, we can move onto the sequel.

Thanks again for your support, and I hope to have news soon!

Best -

Keith Arem

That's awesome. This is the main reason why I don't pirate software anymore, and advocate for boycotting developers that are dickish about the DRM.

It'll be a lot easier to attract these sorts of games that way.

Can't say that better...
And Toonstruck was amazing (just bought it years back because of Christopher Lloyd *gg*). Looks promising, that it might come to GOG someday :)

There is nothing else to say (or, wait, I would love to see Toonstruck on the site and hope that the sequel will be finished & released some day).
It would be a definite purchase if it came to GOG. Hell, I might not even wait for a sale. :P Can't say fairer than that.
Well I was personally surprised for such a rapid reply, and one that seemed so positive, hopefully my being nosey and bigging up GoG as the perfect place to release Toonstruck again, will help to influence that decision. :)
Great news indeed, hopefully it will show up soon
Sorry for playing a necro, but I'd love to know if anyone here has more recent news about Toonstruck? OP's mail convo sounded so positive it's hard to believe we're now almost 3 years in the future with no obvious progress...
Unfortunately it seems to be quiet around toonstruck 2 too.

Hey guys! I did some research and pinged Keith Arem on Twitter, and got some new info! I updated the "Toonstruck" entry on Wikipedia, at the very bottom under "Re-release and Sequel," for news in 2014.

+1 for your efforts. It would be great to have the game here. I have the boxed German version and even that one is one of the best and funniest adventure games I have ever played.
