Today Silicon Knights confirmed that they plan on finishing their Too Human triology which would have given me much joy was it 1-1.5 years ago, when I reealy was into Too Human and the norse mythology. In afterhand one can think how epic and amazig i really was and how good the actual premise is. What do you think? Did you like Too Human? Do you think he triology has potential? Are you looking forward to a sequel?

The only thing that I want from Silicon Knights is a sequel to Eternal Darkness (preferrably on a Nintendo console).
Wasn't Too Human universally bashed for being a horrible game? DId they win their law suit against Epic? If they lost I don't see how they plan to finance a trilogy.

Yes it was which is why I never picked it up and watched the LPs for it, I think if they redesign the controls/gameplay though it definitely has a premise I would love to play through.

2. Too Human was really cool, in concept, in gameplay, and in story. It was pulled off really well for the first few hours. But then the story got all generic and the gameplay was repetitious. The next thing you know, the game is over after 4 dungeons. Whats sad, is that theres all of this depth and loot that tons of people never got to see, because they didn't play the new game+. So final verdict for me would be 6/10, because it had such a great potential that I thought it was going to meet, but didn't by the end of the game. I can't wait for them to meet that potential with the sequels.

Anyway, what I liked most about Too human was partlly the crazy combination of sci-fi with norse mythology AAAAAh and partly the sublte allusions to norse mythology (like quotations and family argues etc) which I as a sweed and as ne that read a 300 page book about norse mythology just to be prepared for the game really loved. What I did not like was the repetetive and few missions, the lacking multiplayer (think of 4 player co-op! So much better) and the cliff hanger ending, what a shame with a cliff hanger ending in a game without sequel. Thats probably mostly why I want a follow up:)

Hell yes to Eternal Darkness, but at least multiplatform. I don't know why anyone would prefer a game on the Wii. I'm not a fan of motion controls but Wiimote's competition is much more precise. Personal taste I guess. Some people just love Nintendo.

I really liked Too Human, but it was pretty universally not liked. They made a game that was pretty different, but that was not immediately obvious on the surface so people got something they really didn't expect. Yes, it had some problems, the unskippable death sequence and reversed polarity enemies could be a real bitch at times.

With the above said, since you can get a copy for 10 bucks, there's really no reason not to try it out (I know the OP has played it).

For me, I am looking forward to it and would even give them the benefit of the doubt by pre-ordering installment 2.

I thought the death sequences were really cool almost every time it happened. :P

I played commando so getting past some areas in low levels had me watching that thing every couple of seconds for 30 seconds:(

It was that hard? I played commando for another playthrough and it was pretty easy actually.

I also liked Too Human. The setting was very interesting, and I didn't think the story was too bad.

That said, I do hope that the sequel(s) at least slightly improve some aspects of the game. I didn't mind the melee combat, but the ranged could use some work.

In all, though, I thought Too Human was a good game, and I'll probably buy the sequel(s).

When you're low level and roll an unlucky Reverse Polarity enemy that's fast and you have no room to maneuver, yeah. It was also my first playthrough so it's not like I was awesome at the game yet, either:)

At high levels Commando is far and away the best class.

Definitely! I first played as the healer class, which name has evaded me so it was interesting. I was really mad a no quick heal items besides that dropped health.
