P1na: Beer with chocolate taste. I thought it was a good idea to try, being a country famous for both beer and chocolate. I still think it was a good idea, but a horrible drink.
I tried that once many years ago - it was delicious, but at 15% abv it was more of a dark wine than anything. Hopefully the same stuff is still around and you can try that instead.
When I first discovered GOG, I wasn't interested in the games sold here. I didn't care about drm free and I'd never heard of any of the games. But I kept coming back for the gaming deals thread, because they posted about deals on games I wanted on steam or gamersgate. Eventually I ventured out of that thread into the general forum, where I got infected with an enthusiasm for old and drm free games, and here I still am today. So, I wouldn't have become a paying customer without the "advertising" for other services that GOG graciously allows here.

aivadroid: Please keep your gaming deals, giveaways of Steam games(there are websites like Steamgifts for that anyway) and info about new releases to yourself, thank you!
Speak for yourself please. I happen to like knowing what's available from other sites from people here. As I'm sure most others do too. Now if GOG staff were to decide they didn't want us talking about products available elsewhere, that's a different matter. But even then the end result would simply be the community moving to somewhere such things can be discussed.

If people weren't speaking about games available from other sources, I wouldn't have been introduced to many a gem. I also wouldn't have as much incentive to visit this site, and thus would buy even less here than I already do.

And yes, I realise this is a late response, but some of us are very busy ¬_¬

These forums are very gamer centric and chill. Yesterday I saw the post about wasteland 2 giving bard's tale to backers and I get so many kickstarter emails I would have missed it.

Gog is value added via this forum, it compliments them and the culture. I actually agree on the surface reaction of the poster, it is a form of advertizing for other sites, but it also makes me think gog is pretty cool to allow it and even foster it. I like doing business with people/companies I like. Keeps me coming back to the forum and site. If gog was only about gog sales and gog games then my gog rss feed would be good enough and I would only come here to troubleshoot games.

I'm glad you like gog so much, me too!! Don't forget to buy Vampire redemption, for every copy sold an angel gets their wings. As above sorry for the late post.

aivadroid: As for people who are accusing me of "preaching" - well, this is a free forum and if you don't like it then move along. I don't like your topics about Steam but I don't post in them - I made my own topic instead. So suck it up little(and overgrown) kids.
"This is a forum so I can say what I want about other people saying what they want and you need to move along and not say what you want because I said what I want"?
