I hope these aren't some companies rolling over and paying some arbitrary "license" fee to this laughingstock extortionist, as it could serve to bolster his nonsense in the face of his litigation against EA.
According to his website even 20th Century Fox has released the 1997 movie The Edge w/ Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin "under license from EDGE".
Not that I saw any mention of a license on the Cross Edge site for the aforementioned game.
I wonder if The Edge (U2) or [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edge_(wrestler)]Edge[/url] (pro wrestler) are "under license from EDGE".
I'd suggest inviting the WWE to the fray, but their own track record here isn't perfect.

If you are brave enough to read the "About" section of the Edge Games website (most of the website is Flash, btw, yet it still manages to resemble a crappy website, and I digress), you will learn that "Through a joint venture with Diamond Multimedia, EDGE produced the EDGE 3D board which enabled PCs to play Sega Saturn Titles as well as manufacturing its own game PCs."
But check out his webpage as it appeared December 22, 1997 (courtesy of the Internet Archive Wayback Machine).
"NOTE! Diamond Multimedia's rights to use our trademark in respect to the sale or support of their multimedia accelerator board "EDGE 3D" was terminated due to uncured breach of license in June 1996. Anyone having knowledge of Diamond's continued wrongful use of our trademark anywhere in the world is requested to contact us here at EDGE"
This punk was at it even back then. And even back then perhaps companies just paid to get his annoying whinging out of their face, but it perhaps has set a bad precedent.
I hope EA focuses everything big, bad, and beautiful about being a corporate juggernaut into putting this shyster into his place such that he never even blinks when someone out there releases another "X's Edge" or "Edge of Y" title.
Why has he not gone after Ford for the Ford Edge crossover? Or Edge Shaving Gel? Maybe he's limiting himself to being all that is "Edge" in the entertainment domain, which brings us again to a certain musician or a certain wrestler.

I guess in confronting EA he is going to claim that the title Mirror's Edge sows confusion amongst the gamer base who "Prepare to be amazed" by the forthcoming Edge title Mirrors.
