When will any of the x-com games be available if at all?
This question / problem has been solved by lugumimage
Only GOG knows when.

Vote for it. http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=x-com

While I generally don't advocate Steam, you can get the games from there, and XCOM: UFO Defense and Terror from the Deep can both be copied out and archived as DOS games.

I *think* the other XCOM games are DRM-free, but there may be issues with dependencies and the like when trying to run them outside of Steam.

Personally, I'd be more interested in seeing the newer XCOM: Enemy Unknown here, but I think it's unlikely to happen.

Well, in that case, Gamersgate would indeed be the better option, assuming you're in the know of how to circumvent GG's rather bizarrely superficial DRM.
GOG need to sign up Take2 as a publisher before they can think about bringing these here
(just because no-one else said it)

As the XCom games are DOS based they are pretty much DRM free even on Steam - you can put those files anywhere you like and run them once you've pulled them down
There's community patches out there that I'd advise getting hold of, don't have the link at the moment though
