I like it. It's not just your usual button mashing....you have to actually time your presses for maximal damage and make sure to keep your cursor on target throughout.

I might end up liking it next time. The Witcher was the first game I played when I got my new PC. I went into it thinking it was all turn based.

The stupidity of that statement astounds me. Fun place to be, astounded.

It's also a challenge to make sure you switch swords and combat styles to match the enemy or else you end up doing little damage.

Next time you call something I say stupid maybe back it up with something. The game has been out for four years now and is readily available DRM free already. I am not saying it should not come to GOG, I am saying the excitement about it is confusing.

I said the same thing about Baldur's Gate by the way. All four of those games were available in a collection DRM free for under $20 and yet you would have thought their release on GOG was some kind of miracle. Personally the GOG games I get truly excited about are games not readily available or not DRM free already.

Maybe by stupidity they meant thinking it's surprising that enough people haven't played it yet to justify to Gog to host it for sale here.

Some people got excited about BG btw, because of it's DRM free status AND being able to get it running on newer OSs along with a single installer.

Maybe because pretty much almost all the money received for it here will be going to CDP, rather than any other digital distributor*? Supporting the devs directly!

*[I wouldn't be surprised that Atari got a cut, though - but you know what I mean....?]

Edit : I'm fairly sure I want to buy it here, to support them, even though I already had it from Steam - I'm just in two minds whether to buy it while it's $5, or wait a few weeks and buy it for the full price.....maybe I should flip a coin, or something.

Contrary to the Witcher though BG wasn't available for digital download before though I believe. Or at least not on the ones I use/want to use :)

Hell. I bought the Infinity Engine games as soon as they became available, despite already having them on disc as well as having created my own already-patched-up-and-discless installers for them.

I'll wait a couple of weeks for The Witcher to go up to $10 though.

Yeah, all that's fine. Again I am not saying "why release it here" I am saying "why are so many people so excited about it?" We had like a hundred "when is The Witcher coming?" threads before. I don't get it.

And that's fine... I will probably buy them for that ease of use reason eventually myself, should they ever go on sale. My point stands though, why get so excited about that? Why get so pumped and scream "oh my God the BG games!" and shit just to get a simpler install process? That just baffles me.

Anyway it's no big deal, I don't want to have an endless debate about it.

In the US on amazon.com or any other similar store. I am sure Hungary has equivalent stores, or could import from the UK. Might be more expensive though, you got me there.

Maybe because in a computer game market of Bland FPS#3555732 : "World of Beachhead:Close Modern Combat 7 - Night Warfare 4 : The Terrorists are HERE!", in which the "maps" are so linear, there's not even a corner, let alone an intersection, and there's a cut-scene every 5 steps, a free-roaming game with an actual story, and doing something takes more than 1 mouse-click is something to look forward to?
