Just a hint: You know that GOG is not checking the geoIP? ;)
There might be a magical decrease of the price from >60€ to $45 ;)
So there wont be store credit??
Let's assume, you quickly travel to the USA as those have the lowest price at all. There are no store credits, as there is nothing to compensade.

But you will get your free game (a link in the mail with the serial key for Witcher 2), where you only click on the game you want.

Hope this helps a bit :)

GOG only knows you're in Latvia because your account says you are. There's a dropdown list in your account settings.

shhh... not so loud :)
Sorry but I don't get it...
Do you mean to tell me that by paying €44.99 I am paying the just amount for the Witcher 2??
Because in the FAQ it says:
"Due to licensing and legal reasons the price of The Witcher 2 Digital Premium Edition in the European Union was set at 49.99 euros. The preorder price, being 10% less than that, is 44.99. Due to the favorable euro exchange, that means that EU customers are paying roughly $16 USD more than customers in the rest of the world, which just didn't seem fair to us.
We're always trying to get the best value for money to our users, so to compensate our EU customers for the price difference between European Union and the rest of the world, we'll be giving all EU customers a $16 USD credit to spend on anything at GOG.com."
You'll receive actually 2 gift codes, one for a 9.99$ game and another for a 5.99$ game. Codes can't be used on promos. So you'd have to use the 9.99$ gift code to get The Witcher even if it's at 4.99$ on promo.

Now on the other hand, if on your account page it would say you are from the US you would pay 45$ for The Witcher 2 and not 45 euros. And as such you would not need the 2 codes. You'd just save 16$ and be able to spend them as you see fit.

No they are telling you if you switch your country to the States, you will get the Witcher for 40 USD not 44 EUR (=60 USD) so no store credit. If you choose to buy from your current location, you buy it for 44 EUR and you get the 16 USD as two vouchers after your payment has been processed. And the free game.

They're saying that if you want to don the Soul of the Weasel and not pay the EU price, you can change your account to say you're from USA (dubious!). I paid the EU price and received the $16 compensation in the Witcher 2 confirmation email in the form of a $5.99 and a $9.99 coupon. In the confirmation email, there was also a link through which I could decide which bonus RPG I wanted and I chose that Divine Divinity thing by clicking the its picture thing.

/edit: To answer the original question more clearly: In the confirmation email after purchase.
