keeveek: I've seen dozens of japanese visual novels with VAST consequences and very unlinear stories. Of course, they didn't have 3D models and animations, but they had animated cutscenes and full voice acting.
you mean interactive stories? Any in English?

Manga Gamer has quite a bunch. Here's a link to their 'clean' section:

And JAST USA has some. Aselia the Eternal looks interesting.

Try Katawa Shoujo, for starters. It's free.

If you want something "high budget" I recommend Higurashi and Clannad. But they aint cheap nor easy to buy.

The game "phones home" at the the end of each episode for some statistics. It all depends on how willing Telltale is to let that feature go.

But this is only a minor feature, so I don't see why it would be here sometime in the future. It is awesome.

They released disc versions on the 360 and PS3 that in theory could be used by people with their consoles never online, so that shows some willingness to let it go.

I know, I know, sorry if that offended you, I can't help myself with making those pesky comments. :D
Clannad is also pretty hard to buy... And I really dislike the main character. He's a fucking jerk, especially to his supposed to be best friend.

But that's very funny. I nearly fell from chair when reading about one of his pranks on him. :D

It wasn't funny to me. It was closer to bullying actually. I don't buy all that stories when a complete asshole somehow is being so deep and emotional around girls.

Also, none of the girls seemed to be interesting to me, so I uninstalled that game and never came back to it :P

Completely not my type of a story.
