KylieM: Aww yeah, I bet you're really a vulcan warlord... :D

Thespian*: There aren't actually Vulcan warlords anymore. Romulan warlords, however... plenty of them. :D
Well, you know why then. :D

ET3D: I wanted to say that I remember 15 digits of pi, but I found that useful on a couple of occasions (well, actually, not all 15 are useful, I think 8 is enough for most uses).

Zolgar: For normal math purposes, 3 places is more than accurate enough (3.141). For even most advanced purposes, 5 places (3.14159) is plenty. If you want to calculate the circumference of a 25 mile diameter circle, the difference between 3 places and 5 places is about 77 feet, or 0.01475 miles. Want to know the difference between 5 places and 30 places (3.14159 26535 89793 23846 26433 83279)? about .00005 miles, or 3 inches.

(which is also another useless skill: Digging up completely random facts >.>)
I don't think I ever did a manual calculation using pi outside of school, but I did use pi as a constant while programming when I didn't have access to a math library. In such cases the extra accuracy over 5 digits is useful. Small errors grow big quickly when you do a lot of math.
Excellent idea for a giveaway thread! I would like to enter for Inquisitor, please.

The talent completely bereft of practical value that I possess is the ability to recite the entire periodic tabe of elements from memory by atomic number both in ascending and descending order.
Awesome, thanks and +1!

My useless ability would be the ability to sing Don McLean's American Pie all the way through, I can strum the notes out too!
Also, Inquisitor please

Entering for Inquisitor, thanks!
I have a great French accent .

Entering for Hacker Evolution Duality , thanks !
There's a thing I can do with my fingers.
For better understanding what I am talking about look at this picture [urlhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Scheme_human_hand_bones-en.svg]LINK[/url]
If you look at your fingers (except the thumbs) they consits of 3 movable parts. The knuckles and 2 more joints towards the tip of the fingers. On the picture the knuckles would be between green and yellow parts. So, normally you can have fingers straight, like on the picture or bend them downwards, to make a fist for example. I can go a bit in the other way as well. On the joint between blue and green parts, I can bend my fingers (except thumbs) upwards. And I don't mean what everyone can do by pushing the tip of the finger upwards so you get an upward curve of the finger. i can actually move those bones downwards so my front of the fingers looks upwards, although I can move the tips of the fingers downwards so it all looks like a letter Z. People usually don't like to see it :D

I can do "Live long and prosper" as well. V/ //

I wish for Inquisitor.
I'm in for Inquisitor. A useless skill of mine is I'm very good at gaming . I mean, I can learn to play a game and become good at it very quickly, not pro but close. Another useless skill of mine is I can make a really cheesy lasagne that is delicious.
Almost skilled BUMP!

Know all English royal families
Can strain/sprain my leg while sitting in a chair (did it once never again)
Can name all CSI detectives from all 3 series
Know all the lines for when an Imperial guard arrests you in Oblivion (though it's getting rusty lately, oh no! :O)
I can speak only speak Russian with a French accent appartently too

Enter for inquisitor then Hacker

I can read and translate both Latin and Ancient Greece (though my Latin has become a bit rusty, it has been two years since I've actually done it). It's pretty useless when not doing anything for school, or when not visiting Greece. Having read parts of the Illiad, the Odyssey, Sappho's poems, the Antigone, Plato's books and others is pretty cool though, if you're into it.

I'd like Inquisitor.
I have a bit of a hobby of learning languages. However, I tend to prioritize the small ones nobody cares about, which aren't exactly usefull outside their area. This lead to a certain job interview, where they dismissed most of my languages as a "useless skill". Basque? Useless. Flemish? Useless. etc..

Now, I'm pretty proud of the languages I managed to learn, so this was very infuriating. Still, the only consolation I have for not having learned any Gaelic is that next time, it won't be added to the list.

Thought Flemish was spoken pretty often in some parts of Belgium?

It is. But this particular company never did business in Belgium, I suppose.
