Desura is currently offering this game for free. I haven't heard of it before, but it seems really interesting. It's described as a dungeon crawler.

Another game by the developer is also free right now:

It says it's an Alpha version though, so there's no guarantee the "full" version will be free even if you get this one.
Thanks for the heads up!

How did you find out about it?

Pretty sure if you right click on it in the client and click "Add to account" then it'll stay in your account and be updated as the game matures.

I was randomly browsing GameFAQs and came across it. :)
Perusing Desura it appears there are a plethora of free games there, many of them open source but a lot of Indie releases etc. also. Going through the list I found close to 100 free games just at casual glance. Very cool.
nvm

If you look through the comments on the game's Desura page the developer announces that work has ceased on this game and it won't be updated again.
Thanks for the tip =)

Does the game at least have a proper ending?

Yea sometimes I feel like I should use Desura more to find games and try to support smaller developers. It really is a great site and service.
