First, I like old point and click more because they were what triple A titles are today. Sadly nowdays point and click titles are pretty much all indie games, and even on best titles no one can replicate the magic that Lucas and Sierra did back in time. Let's take Blackwell games: great titles, but very very short.

Why do I like point and click? Because they are relaxing. When you want an "easy" game just to relax yourself, avoiding any challenge if not the one proposed by puzzles, you can do a point and click game. Also they are similar to books, very focused upon the plot. In fact I'd like to play them in winter, just before go to sleep, it's like reading a book. Still I remember the period when I went to university, dedicating my evening to Gabriel Knight 2.

I always fancied point and click adventure games ever since i had a pc, my first pc game was Leisure Suit Larry.
Every so month it felt like xmas everytime when a new Sierra or Lucasarts game got released.
I see it as reading a book or watch a movie but instead you take the lead in the story, a story with sometime tricky puzzles but also sometime puzzles that just doesn't make any sense.
Also it helped me learn english, having a printed out walkthrough next to it while playing them.

Sure, I'm in. I only have 500 or so P&C but I adore each and everyone of them. :D

I'd like to be in also. I like point and click adventures because they are mostly stress free, then you will get to a puzzle where are those blocks in the painting needed to slide to form something. =)

Moved this title into my wishlist as soon as I had checked out the video on the gamecard, the voice work is what mostly makes this intriguing for me, I also like a mystery plot. Point et. Click as a genre I enjoy for the relaxed pace it brings and the emphasis on storytelling. I have no real preference for older or younger offerings in that department, as long as the game's got good production value and depth to it.

I love the old classics (who doesn't?) and the many of the newer indie titles. In between those two were the "commercial" adventure games that seemed to think they could tap into the market by making mechanically the EXACT SAME game with the same design ideas as 25 year old adventure games, and that doesn't work. I certainly don't want an interactive movie (although The Walking Dead was quite an experience), but I don't see the need for adventure games to be puzzle games and nothing else: sliding tile puzzles, decode the poem to get the safe combination puzzles, follow the recipe but replace unavailable ingredients with superficially similar ones puzzles (done first in Monkey Island, and then copied ad infinitum with the designers probably still thinking it was funny) and so on.

I like Point & Click adventures because It's nice to experience a change, as It's not the genre that I play the most. I also like the rewarding feel as you progress and that you feel relaxed most of the time, because you can stop whenever you want to think about tsomething.

Not in since I've played Samaritan Paradox and totally enjoyed it.

This is Faravid's first game. It's a one man outfit and he did a bang-up job. There are some puzzles here that will make you exercise your brain...it's not a stroll in the park..., the voice work is decent and the 'dual world' makes it even more enjoyable. For the price right now, you really should give it a try. I'm ready for another one from Faravid.

Not in, but I always thought that the Bioshock series would've worked far better as a Point & Click adventure rather than a First Person Shooter.

This game flew under my radar until now somehow, and I'll be wishlisting it (if not breaking down and picking it up on discount today) for sure. P&C games aren't my favorite genre, but some of my favorite games ever have been Point & Clicks (the classic LucasArts games especially.) It's an occasionally frustrating style of game, but I'm always blown away with just how much depth folks can pack into a game with such simple gameplay mechanics.

I absolutely LOVE adventure games. When I was small I was sick a lot, and due to which I was forced to stay home and indoors quiet often. My parents would pick me up puzzles, games, and things to read to keep my mind active, and among the games they picked me up were things like Space Quest games, Lucas Arts adventure games, and the like. I grew to love adventure games very much, the amazing stories, the fun puzzles, the interesting characters. It was just like the books I read except that I was actually playing an active role in the narrative and that was absolutely wonderful. At the risk of sounding silly, Guybrush, Roger Wilco, Ben, Bernard, King Graham, etc. were among some of my best companions on those lonely days. It warms my heart to see a new generation of gamers getting to enjoy the genre of game that was very important to me growing up.
