Question:

I just gave away a steam key for "Ben there, Dan That!" and I've also got a Desura key. Both from the same bundle, not bought separately.

So can I still gift the Desura key to someone, even though I gifted the steam one already. Or will it get the receiver in some trouble, or won't work at all?

I think the Desura key gives you all of the games in the bundle, since the key appears to be the exact same for me for all of the games in the Indie Royale bundle when I checked it.

But if I used up all the steam keys on those games, neither I or the receiver should encounter any problems with using the Desura keys?

Because it does have that illegal tone to it.

It is against the terms of use of the Humble Bundle, but the Indie Royale has yet to clearly establish whether or not it's allowed. Of course, nothing's stopping you on the technical side of things; both keys operate completely independently. But yeah, the Desura key gifts all the games in the bundle.

Does it matter? Quite clearly only paying for one copy and then using it as 2 is not what they intended. Legal or not, morally it shouldn't sit right with you, so don't do it.

Morals? I've been meaning to get those!

Even though, I do not like messing with stuff I actually like. Not in a harmful way, at least. And I do like this wave of bundles.
Enjoy your games, winners, sorry about the wait:)

Thanks for Master of Orion orcishgamer, it was a fun competition.

The kids are in bed, the wife is distracted with awful reality TV programs, and I have a wonderful new GoG to play.

I'd love to see more creative writing people submitted if they are willing.
So, a large bulk of my finals are over (only one osteology project and a histology lab final to go!). I've got some Steam keys for games that I will never play, though hopefully others will enjoy them.

From Indie Royale bundles:
Really Big Sky
GONE: Runespell: Overture
Cthulhu Saves the World
Breath of Death VII
GONE: Eets
GONE: Dino D-Day

I'm aware that some people frown upon giving away Indie Royale keys, since the gifter could potentially download the DRM-free version and play that. Be assured that I won't be doing that. I genuinely have no interest in these games-- I've already redeemed the Steam keys for the games that interested me. I can't offer the Desura keys because it's one key for the whole bundle, as far as I can tell.

From the IndieGala (I have two copies of some games due to an unintentional double-purchase):
Zombie Shooter 1 (x2)
Zombie Shooter 2 (x2)
Your Doodles Are Bugged! (x2)
inMomentum
GONE: Saira
Hacker Evolution: Untold
Hacker Evolution: Duality

One key per person. PM me-- first come, first served. All that I ask is that the game receiver 'pay it forward' whether by donating some money, food, or clothing to a charity, volunteering for a few hours somewhere, bringing some doughnuts to your office for colleagues to enjoy-- just a random act of kindness. It's the holiday season, so spread some cheer. :)
