I see you got a nice review on indiegames.com which also got linked from gamedev.net so you seem to be getting some good exposure now.

Wishbone: And aren't you glad you did that now? ;-)
I certainly am, the amount of support here is amazing.

Those are some pretty crazy ideas, man. The good kind of crazy, of course! Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the heads up, Monkey! We're really excited about this.

By the way, downloadable (EXE) version is on the way if all goes well now. I expect it to be out soon.
Congrats, guys.. it's hit RPS. :)

Well, one can safely say that you're 'known' now, so you can't rest on your laurels. You have a second project to get out, or expanded version of this one, (which I'd recommend because work will be quicker as you know it, because people have had a taste and it's what's built your rep so far (again, purely opinion)) that takes advantage of the name you've made for yourself... and maybe puts a bit of coin in your purse too.

It's been a hell of a ride since Friday, lol. XD

Yep, I'm still trying to figure out what new features I can get into the downloadable EXE version. Don't expect anything spectacular though, I think it'll have a non-scaling fullscreen mode and that's about it. But the legal things are still not very clear to me, like can I change the projector icon and remove the flash context menu without stepping on Adobe's toes and stuff like that. The wording on these things is vague at best.

But once I have those things figured out we'll upload the EXE to Indievania, as Spinefarm suggested.

Those are two good question.... Post a thread here and ask, I'm pretty sure you'd get a competant answer.

Adam you can ask the guys behind this project: http://www.traumagame.com/
Also you can take couple ideas from their site for your own ;)

About the PR act... I don't like the RPS review...too simple for this lovely game.... IGM made better review totally
Adamz, I would also add that everywhere you see your production mentioned, remember to hit the comments section and introduce yourself, that's important.

People remember the personal touch and you'll definately get other comments, questions and maybe some more ideas.

However you are probably already doing this.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. After consulting Adobe's customer service, I've decided to leave the context menu in though. I'll use it to add a menu option for toggling fullscreen mode. That way Adobe can rest easy and I can make use of that feature as well. Everyone wins. :)

That is a good thing :)
About the uploading:
Desura... Indievania... give it for free... and think about an extended edition... for let's say 1.99-2.99$ range ;)

Hey guys,

The downloadable EXE is out now. I've made it available from our website (talesofcosmos.com), as well as Indievania: http://www.indievania.com/games/old-tree

In the end I made it fullscreen-only. Windowed mode had to be disabled because Flash projectors have a window menu that allow users to control movie flow and that created all kinds of problems with the game. Removing that menu was not a viable (e.g. cheap) option so I decided to hide it by forcing fullscreen mode.

Oh, also we have a Facebook page now. It's linked on our website too.

Anyway, if you decide to give the EXE a go, enjoy!
