bloodprice: I had my hopes up... but then noticed it was going to be on the Xbox as well.... now i just hope it is going to be a ok game with a good story.

But even then.. i dont think it is going to happen.

orcishgamer: Remember, it was the original XBox that put all the crap restrictions on IW, especially if PC gets a texture pack upgrade (like with DA2, though not sure how great this looked in practice) it could be fine as a PC game.
after reading this.... http://www.firingsquad.com/games/Dragon_Age_2_PC_Impressions/

I have not even picked up DA2.. i'm sure i will... but i figure the longer i wait the better it might be on the PC.
Since it's a multiplattform title i expect a bad game as DX:IW no doubt. The extremely limited control of a gamepad will make sure that the game must be kept extremly simple. Ego-Shooter gameplay just isn't good with a gamepad. I expect rather a movie where you click from one sequence to the next > gameplay will not be involved at all.
I know that sounds very negative but it's just rational expectations meanwhile :)

I had no idea FiringSquad was still writing anything worth reading. I'll check this out. I've been saying from the beginning that DA2 seems like GOTY fodder. Decide then if it's worth picking up. In the meantime, I'm still inundated by my Black Friday purchases, I haven't even touched my previous back catalog.

If this is what happens I'll be the first to criticize it, right along side you.

Ion Storm, the company brave enough to let you shoot any NPC, even the child NPCs:)

Funny song, though.
A lot of people are going to be really pissed at this game for a lot of things that are not exactly like the original Deus Ex. Forums will be SO annoying to go to for a week or more after it comes out.
It doesn't have to be exactly like DX you are wrong about that. It will quill over because it will be a piece of junk for pc gamers :o
Alone when you hear from AUTO HEAL you know already it will be complete junk
Auto Heal = God Mode

orcishgamer: Might as well get this part out of the way, have they announced DRM?
Probably Steamworks. That's what Eidos is using now.

From what the dev's have said, there's a 99% chance the only DRM on the PC is going to be steamworks.

Not necessarily. If they do it well (like in Goldeneye Wii), Auto Heal could mean sole chance of survival.

In Goldeneye Wii, there was an option to play without said Auto Heal. Most peoples found out the hard way that thanks to enemies having much better AI and accuracy than in the original game, It was extremely hard, even on easy mode. We'll just have to wait and see.

interesting how that didn't raise a stink.
Played the first and loved it, skipped the secnod and looking forward to this one. Wish GOG would get the rights to the previous games (I'd even buy the 2nd just to have played them all) ...
